I think when it comes to boost gauges it all comes down to ur own personal taste and budget if u like the one u have seen on eBay then go for it, but just be careful as what u see is what u get but good luck, and think in my own opinion there are much better ones on eBay mate

Yeah im interested in gettin a boost gauge too, how easy are they to fit? Im talking about the wiring aspect really.

Stack boost gauge for Face-lift

Swoosh for pre-facelift

These two match the dials the best

This :)

Easy to fit, very easy to plumb in and if you mount it on the pillar it's next to the fuse box so you can run a live to the light switch. A nice easy mod which makes you feel like your car is really fast :)

I went for an eBay jobby. Completely regret it. Stack boost gauge is on its way next month when I'm payed.

Either that or if I'm feeling rich ill get a podi gauge as they come perfectly matching to the dials. So no need to fart about dismantling a £50-60 one to make it match. Which is what a stack costs these days.

Out of interest, which gauge did you get?

My gauge was 16 quid new off ebay, and it is deadly accurate, doesn't look bad, is back lit and is generally very good.

I got this one from aggressive gauges...

Can't post a link as I'm on the app, that's the item number though. It's read that I'm peaking at about 26psi and sits at about 20- on idle.

Thanks for the post.

I like the gauge pillar mount in this image. Which one is this, where can it be sourced and is it easily mounted?

I'm very tempted to put this in place but am contemplating a podi and whether to go all digital on myself.

On that basis, des anyone have a dual gauged digital one and is it a little too distracting when driving? I can imagine it looking like kit from Knightrider or something!

That's why don't like digital gauges, they are so distracting and they aren't any more accurate. The only way I would go for a digital gauge if it was one of the 300 quid tn racing gauges which have a built in boost controller. So you can put your foot down, push the button when you get to the boost you want and it holds it for you. Awesome bit of kit.

I think that the pod that Prawn and I made is a little nicer than Tuffty's (in the pic) to be honest. But either way they are readily available on ebay/from Awesome.

That does look great. I have a similar greay material pillar and was somwehat concerned by the black plastic mounts and how that might effect the finish. It looks like quite a lot of customisation occured. Is there a build thread for that?

Is it a 52mm lcr mount that's been used but, presumably, you guys have pulled the material over the mount etc...?

And you say its an awesome gti gauge..which one. there is two online in the shop?
