the guy said it would take 3 hours to fit them all in so i was thinking it was abit dodgy... thx for the reply spin

I would say 2 hours at the most, internals are fiddly and getting the pump off etc

It can take 30min to get the OEM engine cover off!!! I'd say 2.5 hours to do job right, 2 hours at a push.

Not sure where you all go to get these things done but clearly not that experienced, try Steve at Statllers in Sheffield who has done this for me on several occasions or give ED a call at APS - they are always fair too.

I live near in hertfordshire nearer to london, and tht was da closest place, shefield is sbit to far... Thx tho mate

Try AMD at Blue Water. They are good.

My independent specialist charged 2 hours to remove both for me. You are going well if you can do both in 1 hour without breaking something!!

I would say that £80+ VAT is dirt cheap though!!??

Ditto - am trying to work out how 3-4hrs labour is only £80!
£20 per hour sounds like a steal. Although they clearly offset it by working slowly!

Surely that's Lakeside ,James!

And as you've said,they're good.

All the work on mine bar the brakes has been done by them and I would recommend them to anyone.

Also if you're getting the HPFP done, you should change the cam follower at the same time.
AMD would do that automatically but if you did any of it yourself,be sure to do that also.

And be scrupulous about keeping the internals clean.
Another good reason for going to a good independent that knows its stuff.
