Started on Saturday, got it all fitted up took it for a blast Bang! Throttle body pipe blew off. Silly mistake but got home tightenes the rest of the pipes. Took it for another drive and Wooow. I noticed it pulled sooooo much stronger, with a little lag but its worth it.

Only problem I havebow is that I can get the bumper back on ;(

You need to get trimming matey!

angle grinder to the back of the bumper where it's hitting. You'd be amazed at how much can come off the back of a bumper before it's changed visually at the front.

Glad to hear it's working well for you though :) You at Ace next week>?

Yeah it did get dark pretty quickly so once it got dark I gave up. I got a mini saw AMD carved up the bumper quiet a lot bigot wasn't having non of it. Will have another stab at it tonight.

Yeah ill be there prawn, with or without a front bumper!

I got it for a bargin price on eBay and had custom pipes made up and bumper needed little trimming as I didn't want a massive hole in the front lol much credit to my mate dan who fitted it !

Nice one mate. For home today and had another crack at it,there is pretty much nothing left in the back of the bumper. The front goes on ok but the side sit too low. I tried doing one aide then the other but it keeps popping out. Will have another try tomorrow.

On a side note, can I drive with no front bumper as a temp measure or will the po po want to stick a baton through my head?

The latter...

What you should have done is position the FMIC with the bumper in mind... its all a balance of fitment over how much modification the bumper will need...

I didn't cut the crash bar for obvious reason, I just drilled two holes at the very rear of the crash bar and screw the cooler in. I'll get one of my mates to give me a hand with it romoeeot after work. Wish me lucky.

I love the torque though! Should have done it sooner!

Can I ask which cooler this is and what fitting kit did you use? Just that I want to get fmic, but dont have a clue where to start without spending mega money! thanks!

Go for what's best in ur budget Sam mate but remember u get what u pay for and if it's too cheap to be true then it might have something wrong with it, I have learnt that lesson only too well but my intercooler is a forge fmic and was worth every penny but here might help

Hi mate, I have a mk4 gti so basically the same setups as a a3. I also have a map sensor so needed to get that welded in. I believe its a turborevs kit. The kit is good and fits well. I took it for a drive with the bumper off and noticed a big difference in tortque. The car had more pull. Only problem is getting the. Bumper back on lol. Is say either get a smaller core of eBay or go for the welly cooler if you want more that's stage 1 map

Hey man, looks great :) did you manage to fit the fogs again after the FMIC install? or does anyone know if one can get a kit that still allows me to reinstall my foglamps on A3 1.8T? Thanks
