Oh *** mate that's outrageous. So sorry for you with all the hard work and time you've invested.

Everytime I come back to this thread I have to review the pics as I just think 'it can't be possible'!!

I'm sure given what you achieved with the roof you'll have it back in shape soon, and probably better than it was before.

thanks :) defo be back in shape soon goin to lower it this time an fit my rs6 grill :)

just goin to wait an see what insurance say, goin to replace all four doors, dont no what to do about the quaters :( they my main worry.
 
First time ive seen this thread and wow what an effort with the roof. But so sorry to see the damage caused by the bus. Hope its all sorted soon.

at the round about buss driver was in the right lane and my car was in the left, when he pulled out he turned into our lane hit us carried on hitting us like he didnt notice an push the car sideways on to the pavement into the railings sandwiched the car both sides dammaged :(

yeap, just dno weather to change the rear quarters or just body fill them? the passenger side is less worse then this side.. i will get more photos tomrow of the passenger side.
 
Dude... I would have been spitting feathers!! I feel your pain!

Did the bus driver stop? I'm assuming it's covered by the bus company insurance?

yea, but bus driver is not admitting fault, but claim should be in our favour as he come across to our lane and forced the car into the roadside railings
 
thats rough mate

do you have a local dent repair guy you can trust, just thinking might be worth seeing how far he can get those quarters out before you decide to change them. the guy i have used locally in the past would get most of that out leaving just a skim of filler needed.

Ask to see the onboard footage too.

Most buses nowadays have front, rear and blind spot cameras. That should help clear up any issues.

First time reading this thread and wow those pics and the finished job totally speechless. That's one hell of a nice looking car and I hope you get it all sorted after the run in with the bus.

Such a shame after all that hard work with the roof! Almost done every body panel save the bonnet & tailgate :(
Hope you get a good payout for the damage and get it looking great again soon :)
 
That is so annoying, damn busses if i had £1 for every time a bus has nearly forced me off the road i would be able to repair your car for you but unfortunately i don't :( Bad luck, hope you get it repaired soon

The company I usually use when damage hasn't been my fault is Poole Accident Repair. I know it's not local but... They offer an Audi management service. Basically, through another company they fight for the claim on your behalf. If you know it was not your fault they go the whole way and fight for 3rd party 100% fault (if that makes sense).

They don't contact your insurance (would put premium even if it wasn't your fault. They see it as an accident), you get like for like car or better (I had an A4 fully loaded black edition when somebody hit my car).

If I can, I will try find out what the company is called. Might be worth a call...

I find if you can provide as much evidence as possible, it always helps. For instance, using Google maps, show car/bus positions step by step of how the accident happened. How both vehicles should have gone to avoid an incident etc etc.

Any more news from Bus company? I would go all out on them. Write to your local press. Go along the lines of, driver had passengers, not paying attention could have indangered life. Try and find out what devices he had on his person. iPod, mobile, in comms with an other driver or depot.

Maybe u know, some one ruined my driver side, whole doors and wing :( I share ur sadness..

BUT if you got a brand new S3 sideskirts, let me buy those as broken as it! No problem :)

Generalising here but people who drive buses seem to think they can do whatever they want. Imagine if you'd have been on a motorbike or something. I hope the **** loses his job!

Good luck getting the car sorted, amazing bravery with the roof btw.
 
Amar, absolutely epic work i saw this a while back and forgot to leave some comments.

Very brave for carrying out the work on the roof and it looks as it would from the factory. Shame about the damage but im sure youll have it sorted soon looking its best.

Good stuff :thumbsup:
