egr valve replace or delete?

just had my tdi 110 remapped, and turns out my egr valve is leaking
is it best to replace this or are the delete kits any good

Allard EGR Valve Delete Pipe Golf Audi Seat Skoda Tdi | eBayooking at this one but dont know if it will solve problem or affect map
 
Try posting this in the derv section too mate... most A3 owners here have petrol engines...

I'd have to disagree.

The EGR also houses the ASV which closes when the ignition turns off. If you get a runaway engine and can't stall it, the ASV is the last chance before it eats itself. You could blank the EGR pipe off but retain the ASV, for me the cons outweigh the benefits.
