this summer i will add the badger5 tip and a custom remap (the car is stock for now), do you think i need rods with that? I know they are weak but i prefer not to change them if i can pass without it

depends how power hungry you are. if you go all out and have the boost at silly psi then the risk is greater.

yours and the tuners choice ultimately.
depends what you are trying to achieve.
 
Just thought I would chip in and say a massive thanks to Ben at servicing, Parsons Performance LTD Home the silver S3 is mine and I am over the moon with it, its now a really tight, smooth and QUICK car.

Driven the 26 miles home and had a blast, couldnt push too hard as Ben said, rings are bedding in and its not running full boost.

Power at the top end is hugely different, just pulls and pulls. Will put some more miles on it tomorrow as I am off to get it aligned. Then will get the poop oil out and the good stuff in and tweak the map.

Did have a rolling road day booked for beginning of Feb but they have aprantly now banned 4wd cars even if I disconnect the Haldex :mad:

Excited to get it on the rollers and see what it makes.

mine should be going on in the next 3 weeks, i will then take it to bills and see what it can do, i will be adding wmi aswell :)

Just a Big thanks to Sam for sorting out a decent discount, I received my manifold, dp and decat yesterday, only sent payment late last Friday so I am impressed by the delivery times and I can't fault the build quality, it all looks good. I just got to wait and save for the new clutch then everything can get fitted at once. :yes:

Small update on mine.... not going to be ready this weekend, INA rod package still not arrived, on the plus side though they have given me a set of supertech exhaust valves to appologise, The exhaust valves were next on the do list so quite happy with the appologie :)

So, in an attempt to save myself 15 pages of reading and as Everyone seems to be happy with the xs power manifold, Where or whom is the best place to get hold of the xs power manifold if i wanted to buy one?

And how much will it be?

PM sambryant as he can get them discounted straight from the states and the delivery time seems to be less then a week.
 
Ye sam is the best person to talk to, Im very happy with mine so far, not had the car back up and running and mapped with them on yet. fingers crossed this will be done a week on sat :)

I just made a best offer of £310 for a xs power Downpipe and sportscat. And was accepted. Just about to make the payment. Car is off to liquid metal Monday for a one off centre section too. So exhaust system should be all sweet!

Even though Sam is getting that combination for about £241? Did you not see that? And there getting delivered within a week
 
Have messaged him now. Have spoke to the eBay member and explained I can't afford it. Didn't no about Sam no. Clearly lol. Cheers

Sam must be busy as, i messaged him yesterday but had no response. Hopefully, he'll come back to me shortly.
 
Know this is xs manifold so sorry for the hijack but received this today :yes:. look forward to getting it on and getting some logs done. Be good to see difference between manifolds.

Don't worry chaps, he'll be along. I order a manifold, downpipe and sports cat yesterday, couldn't not buy them at that price
 
On the s3 yeah... Iv had tubular manifolds on other cars, but there hasn't really been a decent one for the k04 worth fitting until now. I'm just preparing my car for when nick gets fed up of changing gearboxes and front tyres on his track car, then sell me the hybrid for a pound

Sam's just been in touch and I have to say, what a nice guy! £192 for the mani is also irresistable.

However, I guess he's busy catching up with everyone else as i'm trying to call to place an order again now!
 
Few fitted now. Any people managed to fit them with out removing the head?

'supreme's car will be on the rollers shortly for a tweaking session..... I'm guessing @289bhp as he's on a o.e cat back (does have the 3"dp/decat though)

I did, but keep in mind that i didnt dyno the car before the install, so cant really tell how much was the gain.
Also my car isnt in 100% shape, and would benefit from a tune up, as me and the mechanic beleive there is an easy 10 bhp lost between the old spark plugs, old fuel filter, and old maf (never changed since i bought the car)
