Had my car remap'd yesterday and the drive home on the motorway was just sensational!! The pull in 4th, 5th and 6th was very impressive!! Definitely noticable compared to the stock mode. Haven't had the chance to tell any difference from a stand still yet, but MPG, i got more after the remap on the 135mile drive home than i did when i drove down there. Thought it'd be the other way round after the excitement of the remap.

Got my free SPS switch aswell, going to have to have a play with that at some point.

All i can say it Revo has done a cracking job. AGAIN!! Taken all my cars to them and they haven't disapointed :D

Is the free SPS an offer they've got on at the moment?

They had it on just before Christmas. I paid for the deal and it was still valid alsong as i went before the end of January.

how much did that set u back if you dont ??

Just shy of £550 including vat and a free sps switch. That's also with 10% off.

Nice one, DJ! Bet you can't stop smiling from ear to ear whenever you get behind the wheel now, lol! xx

That's pretty much how I felt after the Stg1 remap....just be warned,it's a slipperly slope after that!

Yeah loving it. I know the clutch will inevitably go, but i was hoping it would last a while due to me not being an aggressive driver?

At Stage1 it will probably last if you treat it with some respect, but after that,it's on borrowed time.....look what happened to me when the bug bit...

Stop coming on here and saying how good it is! LOL. All this teasing is killing me! Hahaha.
Superb. Glad you like it. I imagine the drive back was awesome.

Well done mate, enjoy it! I love stage 1, and my last car was 2+. I'd forgotten how good stg1 was.

You wait until S2+, it's monumental ;-)

That's what i like to hear. I do a lot of town driving so dumping the clutch isn't really an option, but i'm sure it'll bite me soon enough!!

Yeah the drive back was loads of fun. 135miles of motorway :/ but actually it was quite a lot of fun. The extra torque in the higher gears is just..... ACE!!!

I'm sure it won't be long. Got a driving holiday to the Nurburgring and German GP in July, and a holiday with the other half 1st though.

Its the torque in high hears that kills it and where the slippage becomes apparent.
And you dont have to be aggressive for it the give up, the torque will take care of that for you.
iirc mine lasted 10K ish at Stage 1, with fairly brisk driving but now aggressive starts or the like.

Good luck
Paul

That doesn't sound good. I tend to put her in 6th gear at 30mph when poodling around town :/ but 10k should be alright with me. Should have enought money for a sachs clutch by then.

I'm looking at getting a stage 1 on my 8p3 S3 (actually booked in tomorrow), can someone tell me how the DSG clutch holds up to a S1 remap ? - are we talking about a similar 10K before having to replace it. And if it does need replacing, is there an upgraded DSG clutch or do i have to stick with Audi parts ..

No issues with DSG, just manual box :sob:

Oh Joy .... Thanks Warren, that has totally sold it for me

At Stg1 and up to 2+ the clutch should be ok with the software remapped.

Above that HPA Motorsport make uprated clutch packs.

Sulk ... AMD Leeds just called to say they've dropped the mapping laptop and had to cancel my stage 1 !! - gutted

Is it worth trying JCT600 a bit further north of Leeds?
