Is it possible to put a 2.0tfsi engine in a 2.0fsi. How difficult?

Anything is possible but I wouldn't bother. You'd need to change more than the engine.... exhaust etc???

The price difference between an FSI and a TFSI probably isn't as much as you think. I went from a 2.0 FSI to a 2.0 TFSI with DSG which was 3 years newer and I only had to pay about another £2-3k I think it was.

That is the route I would take if you wanted a quicker engine.

as above but if you have a smashed up donor fsiT then would be prety east but a good few long hours

engine & gearbox, ecu, keys, exhaust, the wiring loom in the engine bay, all the different coolant pipes/oil cooler for turbo etc, perhaps driveshafts. As above, unless you had a smashed donor & were able to do all the work yourself it would be crazy dear & your insurance would be no doubt dearer than a stock tfsi as car is considered modified.

**** have you seen what they charge labour ?

The work they are gonna be doing for me is at a reasonable price and saving me alot of money. Compared to the quotes I had off the likes off PSI Tuning, The Phirm, JBS and Storm Development just to name a few.

Thanks guys, there's a gti engine which is the same 2.0tfsi at scrap yard
