My Mauritious Blue S-Line Conversion

Do it mate, best mod ever. Most are subtle, but as you know this changes the whole look of the front end and makes it feel so much more up to date..

yeah thats cool matey I'm wanting to get new rims (19's) and a rear spoiler by ultimate dubs in march hope i can get it sorted by then I'm gonna keep my eye out for bits tho this year was thinking of doing the sport/standard full frame grill till i can find a s-line bumper then sell the sport/standard bumper to get a few ££ back but we'll see what happens

Thats exactly what I done Fran done the sport full grille conversion then sourced the parts for the s-line conversion. So many sport parts on the bay rather than s-line.

Here's the car after coming out the body shop on Friday. Thankfully no fitting issues even with the random 8P7 part number on the facelift bumper.

Very happy with the results - once again the colour matches up perfectly and they did a good job fitting the spoiler flush each side.

Just looks like a facelift from the rear now, and so glad the only rub strips left are on the sides.

I've got some MY11 rear lights coming tomorrow, so will get the SLR out again soon and do some decent (non iPhone) pics.

Cheers,
Chris

Looks really good chris glad your happy will look even nicer with those MY11's on keep up the good work and get those pics up quick.

some really good work dont go to ott tho its just looking nice now ide say tints and your done externally

Cheers. I'm just gonna eBay them. As much as I'd love to pass them on to someone on here - I'll probably get almost as much for the MY09's than what I've just paid for new MY11's. So should pay for themselves really.

they prob arnt oem dont think a5's fit, i was looking for some a while ago

If only they all paid for themselves! stick a post up when they go on mate. I probably can't afford them right on top of christmas, but i'll keep an eye on them anyway. Who knows? It'd be nice to drag myself off the sofa and up the ace with a car that isn't completely standard. :crying:

what width are those a5 alloys? and what offset?

Car is looking great mate, keep it up :)

As much as I hate admitting it - they are reps as the OEM version won't fit an A3. Hoping they bring out an A3 version in the future like they did for the A7..

Your car is really a beaut! Love those wheels as they are one of my favorites as well. What offset are they? Are they Replicas or original. From what I know they only have them in ET35 for the original ones.

My next mod is to get these A5 wheels so i'd be grateful for any info.

cheers!

Thanks - they are 5X112 ET45.

just seen this! gotta say great work! mahoosive improvement! looking forward to seein the rear bumper on too! keep up the good work!

Nice job baffles. How much did you pay for the sline rear diffuser if you dont mind me asking and did it come with the inserts?

Cheers. The diffuser was £80 and the four inserts were £25 each.

Expensive - but like the spoiler; come up on eBay once in a blue moon.

MY09 vs MY11.

Will get some pics of them fitted to the car soon.

The sun finally decided to come out today - so took the car for a photoshoot now the rear is complete.

Since the last major update I've had a facelift bumper put on, S-Line diffuser and spoiler installed, and swapped out the MY09 rear lights for MY11's.

Very happy with the result, other than the disappearing exhausts in the diffuser. Am wondering if the chrome tips can be taken off and attached slighter further out. The exterior is pretty much complete now - and yes I'm very aware that it needs to be lowered so please hold off with the remarks :p

Have interior LED's on the way from Trups which I'm very excited about. Also installed Philips Diamond Vision bulbs and LED sides - looks phenomenal.

Further plans? Eventually want to upgrade to double din and a MFSW when funds allow. Will be giving Ash or Nige a call, but have the challenge of upgrading a single stage airbag so is gonna be expensive.

Will obviously lower it too when I stop using multi story car parks every week..

To save those of you asking where and how much I sourced the parts from - please check previously in this thread as most questions have been answered.

Let me know what you think!

Cheers,
Chris

Looking smart mate. Wouldn't a set of S line springs be a budget way to bring it lower without ruining anything? MY11's certainly suit the blue more. A job almost well done, just need to find your tailpipes now!

so when are you lowering it then mate , haha only joking pal some good photo's there mate car is looking good

I picked up mine from the range. £2 for a bag. You can probably pick it up from most hardware stores, just make sure you get super fine stuff.

Just a little update on progress I've made with the car this year so far..

Yesterday it looked like someone had shat all over it so gave it a good clean today.
