G89 Air Intake Temp Sensor Location

Anyone know where this sensor is located. I believe there are two and looking at the part it looks like it lays inline with a duct of some description.

Mine appears to be faulty as it's showing up as -50 degrees on vcds whilst scanning the HVAC module.
Just trying to eliminate how much time I take to find and replace.

Your help is much appreciated.

Really need help from an Audi tech please or anyone please.

I had the car booked into an independent today to help track down and replace the G89 sensor which is listed as "3D0 907 543 A".
We managed to find the two outer sensors located in the outer vents and dismissed these as being the working parts.

There is another sensor which is we think is the one but we can't seem to find it. It's supposed to be located in the main air conditioning connection box "1K2 820 353"

We have had both sides of the car apart and still cannot find the elusive sensor.

Would love to her from an Audi tech or someone who can check elsawin.
I would really like to avoid a main dealer as I have sneaky suspicion that the whole dash might need to come out to replace a £20 sensor.
It suposidly in the air intake tract but.....

Elsawin suggests that from 2006 they started to phase out G89 sensors.

It might mean that I'm chasing a red herring as this might explain why I cannot find the sensor.
There is also a German thread with a rough translation that leads to the same conclusion.

I would appreciate it though if any A3 8P guys with a car older than 2007 with climatronic and vagcom can do me a favour and visit this thread

Should take 10mins and confirm my suspicion if I can find others with the same reading.

If not don't worry. I'm sure this thread will be a good brain burp if someone follows this thread in the future with the same question.

Did you find a solution on this? I have a 2008 A3 1,9 TDI S-Tronic with no cooling at all. I bought a G89, but there is no place in the fresh air duct to put it.

I just got my system filled and tested everything is okay - but no cooling
