I do indeed, have had HID's for years, but my existing 6000k bulbs are getting quite blue now so I thinking of changing for some good 4300k ones at some time for more useable light.

I'm torn on the Lamin-x - sometimes it looks good, sometimes less so. What I really want is a spare set of headlights so I can joey mod them in my own time.

They fail MOTs now though don't they.

I keep looking at Electrochromis tints.
Just wish they would come down in price.
 
Apparently so, although it's too early to tell how they're enforcing that. I'll just put halogen bulbs in for the test if it comes to it, annoying but no real issues. I wouldn't risk Lamin-x now for that very reason.

Thats it.
It like when they brought in the Tow bar part of the test. I don't think it made any difference.

Just get a spare set of lights and put the legal ones on the day and then swap them back to the good Lamin-x ones for the other 360odd days of the year. :D

I've looked in to them as well.
 
maybe on dodgy HID's but then they don't need Lamin-X to fail the MOT

Our coloured/tinted headlamp protection films may not be legal for road use on primary lighting in your country. An off-road use disclosure is hereby declared. Please check your local laws before application if you have concerns. Installation of our tinted protection film on your head lights or fog lamps is done so at your own risk. Our light protection films are manufactured primarily for the motorsport industry.The law/Mot hand book within the UK states that front primary lighting must produce a White or Yellow light. There is no documentation about the colour of the actual lens.Our Clear/SubtleTint/GunSmoke/OpticBlue light protection films all produce a legal natural light colour, and our Yellow produces a Yellow tinted light which is of course perfectly legal within the UK.None of our light protection films change/adjust the beam pattern. Our GunSmoke light protection film can reduce light output in some cases.
 
In the other MOT thread it was saying that coverings of the head lights will make it a fail.
Double check if it you have such items.
I don't, so i'm not that bothered. :)

excellent lol. i got 11 hours left, only benefit is i get to drive the audi as theres no congestion charge.
 
benefit is i get to drive it, negative is theres about 6,423 cameras on my 12 mile journey and the roads are awful.

non the less 100x better than getting robbed by Tfl and boris johnson.

im stupid really because i pay 300 a month car insurance and it sits on the drive while i give 150 a month to public transport. crazy but no real solution.

I used to do as much weekend work as possible to get extra cash and get away from the girlfriend. Now I only see my new girlfriend at the weekend so no work for me.

Going to the cinema to see Sherlock Holmes at 3 then got a Thai meal booked for tonight.

im doing it to get some extra funds to get a few bits and bobs done on the audi. aswell as a holiday with the gf to lanzarote.

sherlock holmes is equally on par with the first, really good film x

I'm buying a house with the gf this year so chances are we won't be able to stand being with each other at the weekend so I can go and do something else. Looking for a house with a double garage so that'll keep me busy :yahoo:

Haha it's ok I've done it before.

Currently living in hertfordshire but looking to move to Cambridgeshire as it's cheaper.

ye i agree, plus its a nice place.

few family members had problems with the huge rises in oil but other than that i think its a nice area.

My weekend been ok.

Good points.
Got some random B5 facelift parts from TonyA4, met up with sportstractor (I think), picked up a B&O record player.
Spent today with the misses, did some shopping and sorted out our stack of records. Now need to sort out what is worth selling.

Bad points.
I've made a mistake with some B6 parts. But It might be ok. We'll see what happens. Dave/karl, I might need favour :D
 
Its a bit damp Scott, possibility of snow later.
