Hi. Im new to the forum. I have a 2008 Audi s3. I currently have a MTM 310 remap, I'm looking at getting a revo tho. Is it possible to sell my MTM remap.?

Cheers

You won't be able to sell your MTM map as it's software, contained within the ECU.
Revo....I've used their software for a few years now, from Stg1 to Stg4,and it's an excellent product, with good backup, and if you add in the SPS,the ability to change settings and store them also.

Hi, thanks for the reply. What it is ... I was speaking to a guy that does remaps himself (man and van) he told me he could save my MTM stage one onto his laptop and of I ever want it back he can just upload it again. Have you ever heard of this been done? Reason being why I want to change to revo is because I bought my Audi s3 with MTM stage one. I've recently put an ITG induction kit on and I'm getting my turbo back milltek at the end of the month. So need stage 2. But MTM want 750 !! Just for stage two. But awesome Gti near me said they will do revo stage one and two for £500. What's the difference with MTM and revo? Apart from MTM is Audi approved.

MTM is not Audi approved, it's just some dealers will turn a blind eye to MTM because of the affiliation Audi AG in Germany.

It's a good product, but I think Revo offers better thrills and flexibility . I had MTM on my 8P2 for 4 weeks and then switched to Revo which I'd used on previous cars. It just didn't offer what I'd been used to.

On the new car I'm back with Revo. It's brilliant.

So you went from MTM to revo and preferred it ...... Looking forward to to getting my exhaust and revo stage two now then! What do they run at on stage 2 revo?

330'ish!

Wait till 2+, it's a revelation!

What would it cost then to go from OEM to stage 2+? hmmmm............................. lol

Code about £650
CAI about £400
TBE about £1100
HPFP about £300
Decent plugs £40

That's the minimum you'd need, £2,500.

I added a catch can £300, a throttle body hose £20, a DV hose £40, RS4 regulator £30 so another £400.

In a perfect world a big IC would help at about a grand, and some uprated pads all round £200.

There's no suspension work to help the handling, and no uprated clutch.

To get you off the mark £2.5k, to do a complete job with all eventualities covered £5.5k. (assuming you buy new).

Whats the benefit of these Warren?

Catch can reduces the buil up of crud around valves as engine oil is working harder and PCV system in these cars are poor.

Throttle body hose is crap rubber and sags with age and high temperatures from extra boost. This reinforced one makes a big difference and keeps throttle response crisp.

OEM dv hose was being compressed by catch can hoses where they cross over, Forge one holds it's shape.

RS4 regulator just keeps fuel at peak requested bar of around 131 whereas S3 ones seem to struggle with age.

Thats still over twice less than I spent on my Subaru, LOL, so sounds almost like a good deal!
I am off to read about the figures from it! ;)
So, hypothetically speaking, if I were, ever, it just may, to get this kinda work done, who would you trust it to? Who would do it?
EDIT: EEK! I just realised that parts prices and no labour innit? meggaLOLOL. Now we're back up to Subaru costs :)

Revotechnik (Daventry) / APS (Brackley) are who I've used in the past and had exceptional service from, but AmD Essex are supposedly very good, Awesome GTi (Manchester), Stealth Racing (Southam), Votex (Congleton), The Phirm (Basingstoke) are others I've heard good reports about depending on our location.

There are obviously other forms of Stage 2 maps on offer from Shark, GIAC, MTM, Bluefin, APR etc. so it's worth checking out all the solutions before committing as its quite a big journey.

I'm in Notts so Daventry sounds good! I used to go to RCM in Leicester every time for the Subaru as I only wanted the best looking at that. Now thats a top establishment with normal labour costs too.
