Never be SUCH SURE about modding & mod bug mate!
The Speedlines will be around for a while yet just because of funds Tuomas, sorry )
So Warren, I'm still not sure if you are selling your 18inch BE wheels.......lol !!
If/when you do fit the RS3 grille, I think your car will easily be the best one here and on any other forum.....beautifull !!
8) Audi RS3 Alloy Wheel Upgrade
Right then dawgs, I'm pleased to say that due to working with a very ethical seller I now have my RS3 rims.
Seems once they were sold (to me), that he received a barrage of people who were suddenly interested and prepared to pay up, but the guy was an absolute top man and said the shake of his hand is bond! Full of win.
Anyhooooo, back to the plot.
Rolling on 18's looked something like this:
And rolling on RS3 19" rims looks like this:
And who says an inch can't make a difference!!
The 19's just look right.
There is very little difference other than the extra inch, but I've taken a few side shots to give some further perspective of the change.
Here are the 18's side on
And the 19's
Granted, again it's a subtle difference, but one that takes it from looking like the wheels are just slightly to small, to making them right. The touch of extra dish just removes the slight flatness from the cars side on profile.
So I've spent a wodge of cash, and am I happy? To be fair I am. Other than the 25mm front lowering to be done at APS in the next couple of weeks it is about right cosmetically. I have one further little mod to make in the next couple of weeks to the looks, but I'll keep that in the bag for now!!!
OEM+ all the way!
18 & 19 side by side: hard to tell a big difference, but the perspective of the 18 being closer to the camera doesn't help
It will be without doubt a beauty, but the best ?...what does Paullie have to say about that ....Gotta love that engine cover , matching twin take and those mirrors..and that grill and the colour

Hi Warren, Jason here, firstly i must say that it was a great pleaseure doing business with you, and secondly "OH MY GIDDY GIDDY GOSH - SO MUCH DIFFERENCE", glad to say they have gone to a good home, i will pop down some time and show you the RS when i get it back, and il give you the heads up on the RS3 grill
I better get back to work to save up for that Fezza I was telling you about
All the best, keep in touch
A LIKE!! your car is looking ******, big diffrence with the 19's. i like the mirrors i think that next on my list.
I can barely tell the difference between the 18s and 19s, if I'm honest, even with the pictures side by side and when I'm looking for it. I suppose the difference could be that every now and again someone may come up and say "your wheels look a little bit small" with the 18s, but they won't with the 19s.
Unless someone offered me a free switch I wouldn't bother, but I'm glad you're pleased with it.
One of my favorite cars on the forum next to N8's. Absolutely pure sex. 19's have such an impressive visual impact. Was wondering if you considered putting the chrome trim on the door handle. I was tinkering with different color combinations for the wheel caps and lug nut covers. I'm trying the TTS cap cover in gloss black with black lug covers. Not sure if it will look right
Are these the same width and offset as the BE wheels on the A5's do you know?
Lovely car
I didn't pick it up through the thread but did Revo need to open up your ECU in order to remap it?
If so, does that mean your warranty is void now?
Reason I ask is I may well be movin into an identical car to yours trading in my TTS
It will be without doubt a beauty, but the best ?...what does Paullie have to say about that ....Gotta love that engine cover , matching twin take and those mirrors..and that grill and the colour

Those wheels really suit a black 3 door
hope you enjoy them warren
Still cant decide on them or the s6,c63,lambo,bently wheels 19" or 20" as i am getting a new a4 soon so would like to take the wheels with me
Warren would you say the difference from 18 to 19 is vast in terms of ride quality and comfort?
I chose my tyres based on ride quality / suitability, and Uniroyal Rainsport 2 aren't what you'd choose for the track, but for British wet weather and gnarly roads they have a very slightly softer sidewall which offsets the loss of sidewall depth.
Another S3 owner has been in the car and he didn't think it was any more uncomfortable.
Changed to all VWR springs at a touch over 20mm drop as opposed to 25mm for H&R's and I have been very, very impressed with them. Just thought I'd say.
This car, those rims and that colour. That is all.
:sign_plug: It is a pleasure to read this thread! You have an attention to detail and that car is SO clean! N8 is ready as always to help you sit in buckets!!
amazing Warren as per usual
Does the non s3 2.0t have this issue or is it only when you remap it?
