My inlet manifold project

Very nice mate. When you looking to fit it?

Top work as always, well done Andrew!

Time to test it now. Have you logged your smalllport for comparison?

All done and dusted

Did a test fit to the engine and its tight next to the alternator but all is well, even the engine cover fits nicely ...

Looking good mate... guessed it would be tight on the alternator but did you try it with the phenolic? that will give it a little lift :)

Get some pics before painting fitted with the cover on please for us OEM+ types ;P

Mine has been put on hold briefly as the scamming c-unit I bought the AEB inlet from on eBay has not sent it and after raising a complaint he just refunded me... *******!... guess he wanted more the £5.60 inc postage I won it for....

Sorry about the dislike there!

I have a spare AEB mani that came with the head I bought so my plan is to send it to one of you guys that can knock up one of these fancy manis and send you over some cash for the trouble ;)

Shot gun.

I've got an agu inlet Mani as bought one of them first then realised the runners taper slightly so then went and bought an Aeb one as well, was going to just use a rmr plenum but after seeing andrews with the excessive plenum think I will use one of these as didn't realise they were as cheap as they were :)

But affraid alls on hold till find out if I've still got a job :( :(

Bad news that matey :( hope you're safe.

Is the above manifold something that you could do Stace?

Quite possibly although I haven't got access to a tig to do ally, I was going to do everything else myself, and just get a good family friend to do the welding, as the rest of it is generally cutting and porting...etc
I expect it'll be relatively time consuming though as I have a bit of an OCD at times, usually when it comes to making something lol :)

I haven't done any back to back testing as i took my car off the road to do some work and more modifications

On the road the car really want to rev more and faster revving and seams to spool sooner also?

On the liquid gauge i have seen power gains of 20+bhp and thats before it properly mapped

I hate that.

Sorry to hear that as i was hoping to see some back to back results with this manifold

Will you be doing exactly the same with the trumpets as well? I'm sure Bill will get them cheap as he's a Jenvey dealer?

It was a 99p start price and free postage... the guy has well nearly 1500 feedback and a 98.1% rating so you would think he would be a trust worthy seller... would appear not... won the mani for £5.60 in the end which was a bit of a fail on behalf of the seller... took 3 msgs and 20 days to respond only to say he had made a mistake and if I still wanted the item I would need to send £6 to cover postage...

Sent the bloke a fiver instead saying he should have been in touch straight away not 20 days later... still didn't arrive and when I asked he said he sent it ages ago which he clearly didn't and said he would refund if it didn't turn up... which of course he never did... reckon he didn't like the idea of selling so cheap and I fully expect it to be relisted despite all this even though technically he has sent it the lying c-unit... got the money back from eBay just waiting on paypal now...

Anyhoo... I am not using velocity stacks on mine... I will just radius them (like SEM do) and be done I think...

haha.. damn I should know them then..
cheers dude.
welded internally? could'nt see any external marks

The outer edge has been turned down so they sat next to each other nicely

They were welded internally ( lots of weld to get rid of the step ) and welded on the outside were you can't see
