Coilovers for 8p2 A3 2.0TDI 170pd.

I have looked into getting coilovers for my car 2007 Sline Sportback S-tronic. I have found a set of FK Street Coilovers OR JOM coilovers.

Basically what i wanted to ask

how different are the suspensions for the S-tronic and non S-tronic? if at all. As well as S-line and non S-line.

Do i need shortened drop links?

Would appreciate any help.

Morning,

Both the FK AK Street and JOM kits are very similar in terms of ride and build quality and you should be fine with the standard drop links on both.

S-Line suspension will be lower then non S-Line suspension.

I think the only differences coilover wise are between the Quattro and 2wd fitments and whether your car has a 50mm or 55mm strut.

I run JOM's and they're excellent for the money.

Damian, I have been looking through the DPM site this morning at FK Highsport's. I wanted to check that the Sportback and 3dr A3's are the same suspension fitment?

Second, I noticed that on the site the 1.9TDI and 2.0TDI are offered as 50 and 55mm fitments. I thought all 1.9's were 50mm and all 2.0 were 55m? Now I'm confused!

The DSG may have a heavier rate front spring over the manual but that's about it.

As in 50mm or 55mm?

It'll most likely be a 55mm front strut but it's always best to check.

@Damian - Thanks Damian i called the supplier of the coilovers and he said they will fit on the car i have and that they supply a DSG set up aswell. I need a part no. for the top mounts front and rear for the car any idea where i can get it from?
