A clunking noise started about two weeks ago, had a look under to see what's causing the problem and it seems that the flexi on the downpipe is falling apart and causing the pipe to jump around everywhere. I've searched around for a downpipe for the TQS online and can't find any knocking around anywhere.

If anyone has their original downpipe and is not going to be using it / wants to sell, or knows of a TQS breaking, please get in contact. I have a de-cat to back exhaust so an aftermarket downpipe would be nice but I'm trying to save on budget as much as I can.

Also I'm getting what seems to be a boost problem (only seemed to have started whilst driving last night) When accelerating full throttle gaining from about 2,500rpm right up to 7,000rpm the engine seems to flutter and bog up and down?

:sorry:

Any help appreciated - Rich.

Cheers Westy, have spoken to Reesy :icon_thumright:

Anyone got any ideas on the boost problem?

Can you actually hear a flutter or is that what it feels like?

It sounds to me like it could be a coil pack about to die as you will notice them when loading up the engine.

No flutter sound, just what it feels like. Sort of surges, like a drop in power / boost

dunno if its any help mate but a new downpipe from onlineautomotive.com is £62 delivered. not sure on qualty yet but will soon be on here whining about it if its no good. also after reading this i thing il be changing my coil pack as im having the exact same problem lol

Personally I'd get hold of a known working DP from another TQS (if you can that is) then use something that seems too cheap to be true. The one from onlineautomotive might be ok but I'd only want to change the DP once ;) Just my opinion of course.

I'd love to spend £62 on a dp but that does seem too good to be true. Thanks anyway Andymc. I did see the thread on here about the coil pack recall. I'll be down Oxford Audi tomorrow!
