Hey all, just got a B6 Avant 3 days ago after selling my B5 Saloon.

I picked the car up Sunday morning and when I got it home I got my HID kit fitted.

Then on Sunday evening I took the car to be remapped, now running around 170bhp

On order I also have some LED fog lights and a boot liner and picking up a new boost pipe tomorrow as it's got a very slight boost leak.

Welcome to the B6 Forum!
Another TDi Avant Sport for good measure - and also re-mapped - a double bonus!!:icon_thumright:

Got my boot liner today, came to around £30 I think it was.

Small-ish updates.

So got the boot liner fitted and also got my LED fog light bulbs in the post, got them fitted.....only one works.....great.

Got onto the company that I got them from and they are sending me another one out which is good.

Also got the boost pipe that was leaking replaced, £20.06 for a new one.

Also fitted a new airfilter and fuel filter.

Ordering some paint and sand paper this week to sort out some stone chips and a scratch that's on the car.

Another update:

Got my replacement LED foglight and got that fitted.

Today I also cleaned out the turbo...Mr Muscle trick, just for peace of mind really, wasn't any issues just prevents I guess.

Also been working my way round the car getting rid of scratches. Got 3 big scratches filled with paint, just letting them harden a few days before I tackle them.

Few more updates:
*Replaced all vacuum hoses as a few of the old ones were worn
*Cleaned EGR Valve
*Fixxed the slow wipers
*Replaced the thermostat(Was expecting it to be a pig of a job but was done in 30minutes)

Next on the list are get the chrome grill surrounds at the front sprayed black and get it back to my tuner for a stage 2 map.

Welcome to my world of wetsanding good effort

My first attempt, was crapping myself doing it haha, every pass I did at first I was there with the PTG checking, then realised with 3000 grit I would have to give it some hammer to get through.

Pretty happy with my results for a first go.

Wow - look's good, I have a long key scratch on one of my rear passenger doors ( 20cm long) but I don't think I have the balls to give that a go.

Are those led foglights bright?

If you've got them on at night can you tell? I've not heard very good things about them in the past from another user on here.

Put it this way, they will be getting changed back come winter, not very good at all, about half the amount of light over the standard items.

Was expecting them to be a lot better then what they are.

We use 2000,2500,3000 grit, checking the paint depth after each grade. 3000 to finish and remove faint scratching is always a must..

Not been on here for time due to work but heres a newer picture.

With flyeye kit added and i sprayed the upper and lower grilles black.

Getting treated this month to fresh oil and filter, proper allard egr removal kit and de-cat.

Not sure what to do about alloys and ride height, wouldn't mind it dropping 30-40mm from what it is now and get it on some 18s

Cheers, yeah not to bad with the rotary, it needs doing again though, been neglected of recent, can't wait untill summer so I can get the paint fully corrected and protected.

Any detailers around the South Yorkshire area on here?

I have a few scratches and stone chips i need looking at

Dont have a rotary polisher to sort it myself.. :-(

I can meet you Birmingham . I have the use of a garage up there (brother in laws)

I used to have a b6 and loved it to bits! For the fogs I used halfords brilliant white n it looked much better than std ones. Get a kn panel too. Nice car mate :)
