ok so the deal is. Im due an upgrade in like 3-4months but the thing is my iphone is had it's day and o2 tell me that i cant buy out of my contract nor can i upgrade early so i was just randomly thinking to myself. what if i get insurance for the phone then a few weeks down the line say that it got accedentally damaged and claim for my losses. I'm nt out to scam anone but I'm just thinking that maybe i should have place some sort of cover before now.

is it worth doing it now or will it actually work even. or shall i just ride it out and wait until im due the upgrade.

I dont know.... just thinking out loud i guess.! :/ lol

cheers

I think insurance fraud is a crime and the reason premiums are so high....

Tell O2 that you really need a new phone now and if they don't agree to let you upgrade early then you will terminate your contract with them immediately and pay the remaining months line rental to them, and then go to Vodafone to take out a new line/phone.
O2 cannot stop you from cancelling your contract if you pay the remaining months.
You'll then be transferred to their retentions team and they will agree to an early upgrade so they retain your custom.

+1 for ads this has worked for me in the past. They just ad the remaining months of you existing contract on to your new contract term.

Some people would do what you suggest.

Most people would not.

Everybody pays for those that do.

Don't do it mate, it ain't right. Karma and all that.

Surely you must have a back up crappy phone lying about? I have most of my old phones! lol

I need my phone for email orders etc. but anyways. I haven't scammed anyone or nothing stupid like that. I am actually just after ordering the Iphone 4s and it will be here within a few days. Once i get it i will cancel my current contract and get my number changed over to my new 1. cheers guys!! :)

Hmmm.Fraud.Carries 14yrs.

insurance fraud is not recommended to the light hearted and them that would do it wont admit it on a public forum mate,

My route would be the upgrade route with the intention of changing networks, you will get a better response mate, or drop your tarrif to a really low one and then cop out of the contract,
