19" wheels on standard suspension

putting a set of 19" BBS LM Reps (et42) on my A4 Quattro Sport (on standard springs 20mm lower than standard) next week i'll post pic's as soon as it's done. If i lower mine after i'll just drop it another 10mm using eibach springs. Want to see how it sits with the standard springs first.

I'd be careful of putting BBS LM reps on in winter, i had BBS LMs on before the X5 alloys and the polished lips dont like cold weather, or road salt!!!!! even if you coat them with wax i think you'll have spiders appearing in the lacque before the winters out....

Some good info on here guys. I bought some rotiform reps 19" 8.5 et35. I'm hoping to run with the standard sport height but won't be putting them on the car until April time.

i cant decide if that looks to high or is about right to keep a "standard" look!

Silly question, but has it actually raised the car 2" or is it the same hight somehow as it would be on stock 17s (sport sus)?!

The bigger the Alloy the smaller the tyre profile, so where as a 17" alloy uses a 235/45 tyre you'll find most 19" alloys use a 225/235 35 profile so the rolling radius I.E tyre diameter stays somewhere the same, as an example my 19" alloys are fitted with 235/35 and the total tyre and alloy diameter is only 12mm bigger than a standard 17" with a 235/45 tyre!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes i spend to much time fitting alloys and tyres to my car and working out offsets,

Well thats done it for me, il get saving for some 19s if its only a 12mm rise! perfectly happy with how it sits at stock so thanks for that :)

Cheers pal. Looks alright does that I feel myself getting drawn to more lows!

I have a set of 19" LM Reps but really can't bring myself to put them on a car with standard (sport) suspension especially with the amount of Reverse rake the A4 seems to have as standard. Just ordered some B5 perches for the front as a stop gap before investing in coils.

I've seen a few sports and they all sit slightly different. I guess this could be affected by age, mileage, tyres etc... anyhow. Here is mine.

Are you happy with how it sit's

Here you go bud, 19" X5 alloys 9 J fronts 10 J rear its on standard sports set up.

Came across this thread sorry for bumping such an old one!

But does anyone know what all was needed to fit these ? What size hub adapters needed ?

I would assume four fronts (9J wide) would be easier fitted than 10Js at the back especially if the cars lowered (eibach 50/40 springs).

Found a thread which suggests 20mm rear and 18mm front http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/x5-wheels-on-b6-a4.162217/

Seen too many people get annoyed with X5 wheels to ever be interested in them. I'm running 8.5j with 235/35/19 all 'round on Eibach springs plus 15mm spacers rear, 7mm front and this rubs when the car has three passengers in the rear. I've ran 9.5j rear with 245/35/19 and 8.5j 235/35/19 front which looked spot on and didn't need spacers.

I'd recommend weighing up whether or not you like the look of/want to spend money on flaring the arches if you go for X5 wheels.
