I have an audi a4 b6 with the bose system fitted. However first thing in the morning when it is cold, it crackles like crazy! however when the car and cabin have warmed up, its fine.. Ive read up and it looks like it could be lose solders in the bose amplifier, could someone clarify this? Has anyone had the same problems? Thanks

Is it just through the front speakers?

If it is then it was the same problem I had on mine and found out it was the connection that goes in between the door and the body. I had to remove the connector and clean it all out.

Where exactly is that connector, its just the fronts on mine.

If you open the door you will see the wires going from the door to the body in a black rubber umbilical cord type thing. If you follow it from the door to the body the connector is there. I think there is a tab you press which then lets you remove the connector.

Mine was full of gunk, so cleaned it out and put the connector back which solved the problem. I think I've got a picture some were so will dig it out tonight when I get home from work.

It's often the Bose amp in the boot, it gets dry solder joints around some components - you need to run a soldering iron over the component solder points. It's quite a skill if you aren't familiar with electronics though

Not wanting to state the obvious, but is it just the radio that's crackly or CD's too? Just thinking of the dodgy rear demister element/antenna issue...
