Anyone able to post a list of the available coding options for the central locking module on a 2001 S3 please ?

I.E what are the numbers to add or subtract and what do they activate/deactivate ?

I am trying to get the car to auto lock when moving and also I would like it to chirp on unlock (currently it only chirps on locking)

Thanks in advance !

If you had a genuine interface then it wouldnt be an issue & if you have a licensed dumb dongle, then contact RT for support.

as above theres help windows guides you through what u want to do
look on the wiki under a3 2001 its there

What version cable are you using?

Is it genuine or china knockoff?

TBH I see no reason why they should list all the data freely, as its something only genuine interface/license should see when connected to a car.

looking on the wiki not looked for a long time
there seems to be a lot of info missing
as above if you have the genuine cable the help box comes up with all the codeing you need

Its a cable I inherited from someone who didnt know how to use it so I believe its a chinese effort and I am using it with VCDS Lite.

I dont disagree with what you are saying but at the end of the day Ross tech offer a shareware version of the software and the ability to upgrade it to a full version for use with 3rd party cables so saying they should not list the data freely is a bit pants. Obviously they (Ross-tech) believe in "try before you buy" otherwise they would not offer software which will work with a 3rd party interface !

I plan on buying the licence in the next few weeks anyway but in the meantime I am having a play about and trying to get familiar with the setup and want to make sure my cable is up to scratch before spending more money on a licence fee. Where is the harm in that ?

Maybe this forum should be titled "Genuine VCDS Forum" if people who are genuinely trying to test the software before purchasing are not allowed to ask how to do certain things without coming under fire !

Or maybe Ross-tech should just stop offering a shareware version altogether !

I apologise if I seem to be coming across as angry but come on, they list coding info for that module on other cars so whats the harm in me asking for the same info for my S3 ?

Additionally even if I have paid for my licence and am using the same cable i would still be here asking this same blooming question as the wiki doesnt have the info listed as mentioned above so whether its a real version or not makes no difference here unless it was a FULL genuine cable/software setup which then bring back the point of why even bother with a "lite" version LOL
