Hi everyone

i have been using a quick detaler turtlewax ice on my car and it beads amasingly but it will not last long plus i think the snow foam will wash it off ater each wash.

so i am looking to get a sealent maybe poorboys exp / or jetseal109.
but would i use the tutlewax ice over this ?
how long will the exp and jetseal last ?
i am looking at getting poorboys blackhole also is this worth getting as an underglase?

Thanks for the help nally

jet seal 109 is awesome go for that

Pb Blackhole is a good filler glaze and will provide you with depth and gloss plus additional durability working with your lsp.

I'm afraid I've no experience of the turtle ice qd, but as for a sealant you can't really beat jetseal for looks and durability plus it's an excellent option on alloys too.

jet seal it is cheers peeps. any tips on application ?

after every wash on my motor i give it a going over with chemical guys P40 QD just something a bit better than the turtle wax stuff plus its not that expensive too i pay only £11 for mine and it lasts for ages as you only need a small amount per panel

fran would you still seal then use that on top to maintain ?

yeah man i use dodo juice supernatural hybrid over winter its and every wash i give it a going over with CG QD its got carnauba wax in it so it gives it a top up , plus it smells outstanding too , it smells of bubblegum

Vote for Jetseal from me; can't fault it.

Apply the jetseal to the whole car using a Microfibre applicator or cloth (if you've got a da then either a finishing or glaze pad - this will give you a more even coverage to).

Leave on the car for 20 minutes and then buff off, leave 20 minutes and the do another coat - it doesn't have a curing time/gas like a wax so you can apply several layers in a row with no problem.

Another good qd although a little more expensive than chemical guys pro detailer (p40 was a typo by David on the label!) is chemical guys hybrid v7 it is a sealant qd and gives you even better protection it helps with maintenance washes and also will remove any water marks from black which can be a pita on this colour. I used this on my black s3 after it had been given a full detail...I you have time check out the detailing gallery on the site (below) :)

warren how long would you say it lasts ? with out top up ?

6 weeks and it was starting to look a touch dull. Had 1 wash every week .

Jetseal gets great reviews, haven't used it yet myself. I'm tossing between the jeffs werkstat and jetseal to use as my LSP now.

Chemical guys V7 hybrid is nice to use as a sealant/detailer. I bought a gallon of megs last touch recently as i got fed up spending so much on detailer, quite impressed with it so far!

Avoid the poor boys quick detailer it leaves a very streaky finish
