Anyone get any pictures of b6 a4's running 19s on standard suspension? Just interested to see how it would look and whether coilovers would be a definate requirement.

Thanks.

Is your A4 a sport or SE.

sport is 20mm lower than se, any particular wheels, RS6, RS4, S4's BBS's etc

I was thinking BBS LM reps to be honest. Im not a big fan of the RS4 style jobbies.

Here's a pic from the summer of my Staggered 19"BBS LM's 8.5" fronts, 9.5" rears

Yeah mate thats just on s-line/sport suspension, got coilies on now just found another pic showing ride height before coilies on..

Cheers pal, it looks alright standard but im guessing it looks a lot better on coilovers.

The car gets driven a bit (12k a year) so dont want to totally destroy the ride comfort......ah decisions decisions!

Cheers crazy88 one day i will stop messing about with it,

Leed 182 i do about 10k a year and the only difference with the coilies on is i have to be careful on speed bumps and getting into multi storey car parks some of the ramps are a bit viscous, motorway driving its perfect. And i have budget coilies i got some Fk's for £200, Weitecs or AP coilies will probably be better but are 3x the price

Thanks Pabs, I was going to go for the FK Highsports as a bit more middle of the road coilover at £400ish.

I got some FK AK Streets, never had any problems with mine, but if you have a quick search on the b6 forum a few members have had trouble with knocking noises after fitting coilies. Are you going to fit them yourself or get a garage to fit?? Definately get a full 4 wheel alignment when fitted not just tracking it will save you a fortune in tyres..

Garage mate, I struggle with inflating the tyres.

Ill just throw my wallet at it as per usual.

If you only live in Leeds (going off your name) try awesome gti in Manchester they will fit coilies for £220 which includes 4 wheel alignment or £150 if you buy your coilies from them,

Sweet, thanks for the heads up.

I Had no end of grief with AP coilovers.. More than happy now with my current setup

Those x5 alloys are phat!
Cheers, there a change from the X 5 Tiger claw style that seems to be the norm @ the mo, i've got a couple of ideas to make them a bit more special next year.....Im toying with putting a set of 10s on the front as well !!!!! but i'll have to roll the arches and fit my B5 spring perches first + figure out how to make the 10s be flush the arches, it was hard enough getting the 10s to fit in the rear arches......

To me its all about doing things that make your Audi a little different from the rest, i like to think mines a blend of Audi OEM+ WITH A BMW TWIST...

I keep toying with fitting coilovers but i need comfort over rough as its a family car, and the best comfort seems to be KW or WEITEC and there both big money.

Has anybody any ideas as to whats the best coilover that combines drop with comfort that doesn't cost the earth, or is that just a pipe dream:arco:

Correct. I bined(sold them on) the AP's within 6 weeks

Daniel97 unfortunately mate, I'm keeping my original setup just incase i ever sell the car and want to turn it back to standard, a set of 30mm eibachs would bring an se lower than a standard sport / s-line and cost alot less than s line springs and shock,

here's 19" RS6's i use these as my winter wheels,

Is your A4 on Sport setup in that pic or is that on coilovers ? Looking sweeeeeeet - fair play !

I've sourced a set of RS6 reps, 19x8 / ET35 - and fancy them for 03 Avant Sport - but only if sits sweet and doesn't resemble an Audi Allroad

Cheers Stu thats standard sport/sline mate, i'm running 19 x 8 RS6's with ET 30 with 235 35 19 tyres, coilies are alot lower than that

If you want the lower look then go for 40mm depends what the roads are like where you are, speed bumps etc.. What wheels are you planning on running, tyres, offset etc...

Ive purchased a set of RS6 reps with an ET35 (19x8) so hoping the stance will be just right ... Im looking into getting some B5 Perches to, Ive read that they will drop the front end another 15mm > ?

Where's the best place to buy them - besides Audi ? (unless they're cheap enough) ;)

CMD is the man for this, I 'think' they give a drop of a further 10mm and from memory are about £17 each.

Not got a clue about B5 spring perches your best bet is CMD as James has said,

ET 35 will be spot on with those wheels you should have no problems with rubbing or catching when you drop it, get some pics up when its done

putting a set of 19" BBS LM Reps (et42) on my A4 Quattro Sport (on standard springs 20mm lower than standard) next week i'll post pic's as soon as it's done. If i lower mine after i'll just drop it another 10mm using eibach springs. Want to see how it sits with the standard springs first.
