I am looking to buy bright white number plate bulbs, I dont want LED's because of the heat and resistance issues.

Does anybody have a source/link for bulbs that will fit my 2005 3 door sport?

I have seen the below link but the description states it only fits 2006 onwards....gutted, these seem a reasonable price.

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Thanks guys.

I've purchased these and installed them on my 11 a3. I only have one in at the moment (due to a rounded screw) and they seem to give off the BMW look - A very slight tint of blue.

Personally I think they will fit, just an item listing error?

Got LED bulbs in mine, no heat or bulb out issues at all...

Thanks, my other hesitation was that LED's may be over bright for a number plate, how do you find yours, not too bright?

LED's seem cheap enough to buy on ebay anyway so its worth a test to see if I like them I reckon but id be much happier with xenon bulbs if anybody has seen any that will fit.

I hope so because these are the ones I would like to install. I could give both a try, cant go wrong then!

Just done a little bit of research, and they will fit. Your 2005 bulbs are the same as all models of the current 8P A3 2003-Current.

In my opinion, LED's look too bright and stand out a mile off. I use to like them, but after awhile they were just too bright and didn't look right. I'd 100% recommend the blue bulbs - They will take about a week to arrive though!

Hope this helps!

No mine look OEM and not to bright as they only have 3 LEDs in not 18 like some!!! They were £10 off E-bay...

Trups supplied my led number plate bulbs, very pleased with the look, very similar to the BMW I got rid of
