Im sending my clocks off as the DIS needs a new LCD screen. Ive read that i shouldn't lock the car with the clocks removed as it can make things go a bit nuts.

Problem is the company I'm sending them too will likely have them a couple of days and i can't leave my car on the street not locked up (2000 S3 btw), i don't need to drive the car thankfully.

Can any kind soul(s) offer me some advice on this?

Thanks

Don't know about it going nuts but if you are worried disconnect the battery first then lock your car

Dash shouldnt make any odds to locking it. The CL is taken care of by the pump.

The dash does the immo, so that means you won't be able to drive it , that's it. If you had an 8p, things might have been different

I can confirm that I've locked my car with the clocks out without any problems.

I think its the ignition your not meant to turn on with the DIS removed.

I would still lock it up with the key but that's just me being me.....lol
