original Iphone camera blows so much! lol.

As with everyone, new header tank and cap needed. Generally mank under there so needs a good scrub and rocker cover needs painting and inlet needs a shine.
 
will those plastic covers also fit the 2.5Tdi V6, as it tidies it up well and i have a "short" cover on the left (not covering the fuel filter) and there ain't one on the right, over the ABS Etc.
 
Here's mine... not a full shot I'm afraid though.

I'm planning on plastic texturing (my favourite thing at the moment) the middle Y-intake pipe to match the plastics. Should make it a little more 'unique'.

I have the larger cover you've posted up coming. I've been struggling for ages to find the part number for it, so thanks for that!

The rusty bolts on the slam panel/headlights have also been replaced too...

You got facelift lights on it yet?
 
Nope. No facelift lights for me now. I've just bought some better pre-facelift S4 headlight units for it, complete with indicators... so will use them instead. Then my usual Lamin-X film will be applied!

My facelift headlight units are up for sale... but no takers, which I find strange.

That is very good.
They normally go quick.
Unless every pre-facelift B5 has facelift lights.

Much different between S4 lights and non S4 lights?
 
Yeah... my pre-facelift S4 has Xenons as standard. The S4 units are completely different to standard A4 pre-facelift headlights.
 
S4 lights are Xenons.

PFL S4 lights are two piece like PFL A4's, but look like facelift lights, IE clear lens with projector for dip and seperate reflector for main.

I have PFL S4 Xenons on my shed, but i made a bit of an **** of painting the insides black, so i'm awaiting on another set arriving and can hopefully cobble up one good set out of the two!

I've been toying with the idea of a proper Bi-Xenon conversion on the "broken" set, replacing the projector with a modern Bi-Xenon projector with solenoid shutter.

Hmmmm...

The smaller engine cover doesn't fit onto the S4. Mine arrived today and the shape's all wrong and doesn't cover as much as the original cover does anyway (left to right).

I might have to move it on. Will take pics tomorrow so you can see. Not sure modifying it will work.

It might work/fit better on a 1.8T or TDi engine though...

Yeah looking at it the air intake pipe from the lock carrier is different on the V6 compared to the 4pot engines so the angle of the bottom bit of that cover is much sharper on the compared to the V6 one so you`d have to cut it to make the V6 cover

It might be that I end up selling it on to a 4-pot owner to use instead. :ermm:

^^ Already got one as I forgot to put it back one day and heard it fly underneath the car on the motorway lol
 
Noooooo... R8 caps are too bling for the B5.
