Edit:=- We might get some end of this weekend start of next week. the temp is going to drop from 10ish to about -1.

Why bother to wax it?
Its only going to fall apart and end up like Crazys.

As for food, i'v eaten wahay too much this weekend. From fry up's to buffet and everything in between. I feel like a right friggin ball

hello a3/s3 ppl not been on for a while been changing jobs/careers last job was quantity surveyor but company was going into liquidation so jumped ship and a m8 of mine has his own recruitment company so im now working as a recruitment consultant also been toying with the idea of selling the tqs and buying a leon fr tdi but seen the light when i cleaned the bumble bee the other day and decided against it sod the cost of fuel the car is staying, still not fitted the brakes westy will be going on soon and can get back on track with the mods to the car, soon as commision comes in in january will be getting exhaust at last and get tip and brakes fitted then can start looking at hybrid turbo and bottom end rebuild with rods.

rant over people.
 
We had a smattering of snow. But to be fair, we do pretty much live at the top of the pennines so at this colossal height we frequently get extreme weather.

So was anyone lucky/unfortunate to get a letter from the taxman on saturday? I got a letter saying they owed me a little bit *cough*...£945!!! :D When my dad text me saying i had a letter i thought oh here we go how much do i owe them, im in the unlucky million that have to pay them.

I got a letter from them asking for my P## but I can't find them.
So I got to phone them and let them know.

The chances of me owing them, high. :(

what do you have to do to get a letter? i cannot ever remember getting a letter :s
 
I couldnt believe it! I had a rebate years ago which totaled about a grand but that was because i was being emergency taxed. Suppose if you`ve stayed in the same job for years then you wont get one but if you`ve moved places a few times you could be due one. Remap and rear ARB for me :D

Nothing, 6 million got a letter on saturday saying they are owned x amount of money, a further 1million got a letter saying they owed the tax office x amount of money. Was on the news about a month or so ago.

Apparently their old system got replaced by a new up to date which then picked out all the problems so they had to put it right. So now hopefully my monthly tax deductions will go down and i`ll be bringing home more :)

i'm a contractor and i'm currently paying silly amounts in tax... is there a way i can check to see if i am due anything or should i just call up the inland revenue and see what they say?

Call them and ask.
they should it at the end of the tax year for you adn send you a cheque out if you are owed any thing.
They did with me.
 
To get my original rebate i got a form from the post office and sent that off with all my details. They recalculate the tax you`ve paid and what you should be paying and if you`ve paid too much you get it back. First half was in cheque form and the second half was in my wages. You can probably do it online these days. When i did it it was back in 2005.

If you owe them money they will take monthly installments as far as im aware. You wont have to pay it all off in one go and it says on the letter that its not a demand for the money, just simply letting you know that you owe them and they`ll arrange a method of collecting it to suit you.
