I went for a full 4 wheel alignment today and after 2 mins on the ramp the car was back parked up. I thought blimey thats quick but then the chap came over to me and explained there is no point doing the alignment as the bushes in the lower arm is knackered. I asked them for a quote and as this was about 5pm he said leave me your number and I will get back to you on Monday once I have called audi for a price for the parts. He said its worth doing both sides whilst your at it.

So Is this true is it recommended replace both sides at the same time and do I need to replace both the lower arms and bushes? If so has anyone had this done recently as I would like to know what the cost is? Or is this something a I can tackle myself?

Thanks :p

Defo replace both sides at once. I have adjustable lower arms as I'm running coilovers so needed to dial out some excessive camber. I have Powerflex bushes fitted and it feels a lot tighter at the rear end.
