De-Badging ?

i took the a4 ant 1.9 tdi off and put the s from an s4 badge on mine as i liked the red s and also i got some s.line door badges and cut the line part off leaving just the s with the red box i have the sport and as far as i no thats what the s stands for ;-)

Only the rings left on mine !
+1 with hair dryer and dental floss !

Its an old picture but heres mine with just A4 removed

I use a kettle of hot water and just my finger nails to get underneath the badges then peel, at least you cant scratch anything doing it like that.

I did mine, removed A4 and 2.5TDi and just left quattro.

Not the best before and after as I was midway through fitting the number plate led's.

why do you take them off, are you embarassed or trying to make people think its something special? Im not trying to be aukward i just dont get it

S'pose it's just down to personal choice, I happen to think it looks a bit better without badges......probably very similar discussions around having a private plate......no real benefit, but a personal choice

i think some badges look ok i one or two small ones but i think audi over did it with there ones as they are not small.

ha mine would come out as a 9.1 tdi and i dont think any one would belive that lol

It's quite funny as I prefer a debadged rear end on a car as makes it look a lot cleaner and clutter free, yet since having my S4 I've not had the guts to remove the S4 badge.

I've removed mine also, all but the Audi rings. I don't think i've got any pics though, sorry. Looks very much like James's though...except for I don't have a quattro badge, and my paint work isn't in as good condition :)

Do it mate, Ive done it to mine as it did my head in polishing around them nice and clean now!!!

That is an awesome looking avant, wish i has air ride lol, might have to get rid of the 4 rings and 1.8T now at least thats cheap to do

Badges and ****ty number plates make cars look crap. Did both on mine and it looks a lot better.

I love the blank (no dealer info etc) number plates too. Had the gb ones taken off.

Liking that car too dude, looks great. I am wanting sport wheels for mine. Hopefully this next year. Can't be bothered going bigger, too much cost lol. :)

And I'm also not a fan of the "Audi" badge turkster. Much prefer the four rings.

i like the smaller rings you can get on ebay seem about hf the size

Whats one extra hole with the ones that allready there?

I haven't got any I don't think..... On my avant the number plate was originally held on by a captured plastic bolt I think, I just glue them nowadays.

I hope the red brake light rings was a joke....

Them Plastic bolts, went through the boot skin, through a hole..............A look a hole!! :)

It was a little bit of a joke but mainly curiosity to see if any one has actually done it.

Fair play, I thought they were captured. Either way, it's different for a hole to come galvanized and painted from the factory than it is for me to try and drill one at home ...
