Does anyone know the best place to get a tailored drivers side mat in black?

I imagine Audi want mad money?

Bought a pair of black front mats from Bath Audi last week for £35 plus VAT.

Its been a few years since I got any and couldn`t remember I know the VW set was £55 but at that sort of money its not worth getting any others really imo

at £40 I just get OEM ones

Bought Audi S3 Genuine ones last year due to drivers side wear and paid about £40 from Audi Bristol, but then saw these last week and won the bid:-

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Hopefully, they'll look the business. Made by a guy in Hamburg Germany who specialises in them. Got into a bidding war and ended up paying £51.60 ish for all four mats.

Fingers crossed they'll be good. The standard ones will go in the loft for a rainy day.

Bidding war?? There was only 2 bids!!

Ok. I Was being dramatic. Bidding Did go from about £29 to £61 inc delivery though.

Thats a lot for car mats in my opinion. Two people did want them...but a lot. Both set high autobids. Most sell for about £45.

Hopefully they'll be good.

WTF are they, S3 mats for blind people!!? That logo takes up half the mat!

Ah...don't be saying that.

My wife said something similar though and i'm starting to doubt them now.

When they arrive, I'll pop them in, take a photo, upload it and we can judge them in situ.

If the concensus is that they look bad, I'll pop them on eBay and sell them.

Hey chief, if you like them thats what counts. It was just one of those "whoa" moments for me when I looked at the picture.

On a practical note, if the logos are embroidered then they may get a bit tatty quite easily as it tends not to be very hard wearing like the rest of the mat, but I can't tell from the picture.

Have a hunt for genuine ones on ebay, new ones often come up cheaply if you are willing to wait. I think I paid about £30 for all 4 genuine audi mats in my car, in the correct shade of grey.

One issue was the floor clips were different on the front ones, but you can buy the clips too from Audi to convert them to newer / older style.

Those mats arrived from hamburg today and look great. S3 logo is not too big, and mats of very high quality. When compared with my current Audi Genuine ones, they are almost identical in colour, material, size and fitment. The logo does have a degree of stitching for the text which I understand might wear in time but the red part of the logo is something different altogether. I'll take some pics and upload as they are quality...£60 worth though...hmmm...still not sure. Nice touch and now that I have them i can't complain.

Will do tomorrow in the daylight. Was struggling for light in the footwells this evening.

As promised....

I kinda like them! But you need an 8P gearknob! :o.k:

Thanks. In the car for a day and if the compliments are anything to go by i'll be happy in the long run.

The only thing is, you almost don't want to put your feet on them and mess them up!

wouldnt pay that much for mats myself, but have to admit they are very nice! think i'd be popping my shoes in the boot and driving in my socks haha

Yea, i thought the S3 symbol would be too big - but its grown on me. Well done for having the nuts to buy them...
