Looks better with the white bulbs Paullie. Very smart!

Aww, thanks Wez, much appreciated comments. xx

Looking very good!!!

If you get a chance can you whack up some night pics? Wanna see the fogs and plate lights and see how white they are before I buy the same bulbs. :)

Cheers Buddy, will pop up some night time piccies for ya ASAP. xx

Oops, didn't realise it had been quite so long since my last update, so it's about time I added a few little bits. As a few of you know, I've been looking into getting some white number plate lights that won't cause any DIS errors, so I found some Polarg bulbs in the US (haven't come across a stockist in the UK) and today I fitted them.

Side by side pic with one horrid yellow OEM bulb and one lovely white Polarg bulb

Polarg bulbs fitted, no more yellow!!!

I've been wanting to get shot of my horrid yellow fog light bulbs too, but because I use my fogs quite a bit up here, in the end I decided against using LED's as they can't cut through fog the way Halogens can. After a fair bit of deliberation I opted for some Philips Diamond Vision 5000K H11's and they are a perfect match for my DRL's and Xenons. Well chuffed with them! Only thing was they cost £50 a pair, so I did take my time before pressing the Buy It Now button on Fleabay, lol!

A couple of months ago I treated myself to a 2011 RNS-E with the glossy black surround. Thanks to Rhymesaka (Paul) for buying my old 2010 RNS-E!

Will update some more stuff very soon, guys! xx
paulie i think you have one of the best imola yellow S3's around i love what your doing to it esp the rs front grill that is just bang on , I've got a little rs grill plan of my own watch this space

Looks awesome mate! as you would say!

What wheel are those? They look epic. Also I wonder if you can just buy the glossy surround on its own? The surround is very easy to take off, just had mine off to polish the screen.

Beautiful Paulie, the car just looks so pampered and stunning, love it :)

I'll miss mine when it's gone, I just love the brighter coloured models!

Hey Fran! Thanks so much for your lovely comments  xx I'm loving the sound of your RS grille plans for your own car!! I can only imagine how cool it's gonna look on a red A3. Can't wait to hear and see more  xx

Lol, thanks Silky! They are BBS CK's (18x8, ET44). I bought them brand new, but they were silver and when they were on the car I decided I wanted to go for something darker to suit the rest of my plans for the exterior, so I had them sprayed Dark Anthracite, which has a nice sparkle through it. In the New Year they are making way for some new 19" MTM's, which are all boxed up in my garage. I've actually seen a glossy RNS-E surround for sale on Ebay just a week or 2 ago, so you should be able to get hold of one. For someone as nifty as you obviously are it'd be a piece of cake to convert your 2010 model to a 2011, lol. xx

Aww thank you, Sweetie! I think it must be a girl thing, but I totally agree, Solar Orange and Imola Yellow were the only 2 colours on my wish list for an S3. I love white too, but my last car was white, so fancied a change with this one. I was gutted to hear you're selling your little beauty, but if it's not getting used very often, then you're quite right that there's not much point in holding on to it. These cars need to be driven, lol. :wub xx

Here are some night time piccies, so you can see how white my new fog and number plate lights are, ..not a hint of yellow anywhere - at least not in the lights, lol. xx

Thanks very much, Buddy. Obviously Chrono was my favourite colour of Cupra too, lol. I'm currently on my 3rd yellow car! xx

It's done about 50 miles in the last 2-3 weeks, I've now cancelled the insurance and added it onto my boyfriends insurance to keep it legal but I've stopped driving it, he keeps it at his car sales now to sell for me! Hopefully someone will take it away soon, I hate having to drive past it in my ****e C4 but at the end of the day its a year old and it's pretty much free, could be much worse! Give it a year or two and I'll buy something bigger and better ;)

Hehe, I know you will! You're a girl after my own heart, ..petrol flowing through our veins, for sure. At least you'll get to drive your BF's amazing GTR soon, so you won't feel too bad about the S3 going. I think I'd be going on strike though, ..until he gives in and lets you put your private plate on it!!! It's only fair, lol! xx

http://www.postimage.org/Here's a sneaky peak of what will be my Summer rims for 2012. Was very lucky to pick these up last month, the previous owner only had them on his S3 for 50 miles, before deciding he wanted a set of wheels more built for speed than for their show car looks. He opted for a set of Oz Ultraleggeras and I got these virtually new MTM's for a lot less than I was going to pay for a brand new set in the New Year. Obviously they aren't staying silver as I don't think they'd fit in with my colour scheme as they are, so they will be sprayed possibly Smoked Chrome or Anthracite. I like my 18" BBS CK's and although the colour of them (Dark Anthracite) has grown on me over time, I have never been a big fan of black/almost black wheels on cars as I think they look like spare wheels a lot of the time, ..that's just my girly opinion, lol. SO! The MTM's won't be going quite as dark as my current wheels. I'd be happy for suggestions as to what you guys/girls think would work on these colour-wise, ..as long as it's not BLACK, lol! I am thinking of getting the MTM logo done darker than the wheels themselves, either that or have the logos painted yellow (I love what Brough74 did to his Diamond Cut MTM's with the red logos on them, which are now on S3KEL's S3) xx

Hehe, do you know how many times I've looked at this exact pic of these smoked chrome wheels?? It was seeing these CH's that made me want Smoked Chrome! I'm glad you agree, Buddy, thanks for posting. xx

If you want a refurb, you know where I am sweetheart

Nathan, indeed I do! Having seen the quality of some of your alloy refurbs, I don't intend to look any further than you to take care of my wheels. Will deffo be in touch at the start of the year, Hunny. Thank you!! xx

Oh these wheels will finish off your already stunning looking motor!

Having seen these on a Ibis SB, I just love them........must resist!

Aww thank you so much, Virdee! This forum is a wonderful place to find out all there is to know about Audi's, but it's a terrible place if you want your bank balance to remain in tact, lol! So many THINGS!! xx

I think the yellow logos might look a bit "much", but smoked chrome will look amazing. Congrats on a great deal!

Great buy, look forward to seeing them in their new finish. Real quality product.

I'm having a massive wheel dilemma, I've got 19" shadow chrome RS4 reps sat in the garage and I'm just not warming to the 18"BE wheels, they look tiny but RS3 rotor 19's from dealer are £2,800. I don't want to put reps on this car, but the 18's just look soft! Even spacers haven't made them bearable. Really don't know which is the best way forward, but I am liking the MTMs a lot.

Thanks Martay, ..think you're right about the yellow logos and if I ever look to sell them on, it might put prospective buyers off if they have yellow bits on. I'll probably just have them done Smoked Chrome too, or black. x

Thank you, Warren. I just love the 18" rotors and especially how they look on your stunning new car!! Personally I would never change them if they had been on my car when I bought it. Gorgeous wheels you have, ..only thing is I wish Audi would lower the offset of their wheels slightly, so they don't look quite so tucked in. x

Agreed, the A3 rims are so flat faced and tucked under, I love the way the old RS4 B7 rims dish out, and even with spacers on the rotors just look flat. I think on a black car you have the black paint, the black tyres, and then the darkness inside the rim and it's less contrasty than on a colour car, I think I'm going to have to wait for some 19 rotors to come up from TT-RS or RS3.

Are you putting your new rims on before or after Xmas weather / salt /snow etc.?

I'll be running my 18's until Spring, Warren. That gives me plenty of time to sort out refinishing and new tyres for them. As much as I can't wait to see them on the car, last thing I want to do is destroy them with the copious amounts of salt and the lethal potholes Winter produces on the roads of Aberdeenshire! :sadlike:  xx

19" Rotors?? Oh YES!!! :hubbahubba:

Are these what you are looking for. On ebay at the moment
GENUINE AUDI 19" ROTOR ALLOY WHEELS | eBay

Not a bad price at the moment

your so baller its untrue. is this is oem perfect.

Be interesting to see what price they go for, I don't need the tyres so would sell them off if I won them, but needless to say given I've just bought a car, had a new central heating system and have just booked a holiday I won't be buying them at 'any' cost!

Beggars belief there no 19 option in S3 catalogue, VAG have always been behind the times and I like the fact the Rocco, Golf and Leon get 19 options, cheers Audi!

It is mate, but right now I'd rather have the free cash! I supposed I can sell the RS4 reps for some magic beans as they've not long been returned in shadow chrome and I have the receipt. An attic clearance will help!

What figure do you envisage they'll go for N8? Much over £1200?

Lol, never been called that before, so will take it as a massive compliment! Cheers Fella. xx

could you use some caliper paint inside them.

Yeah, sounds good Matey. I might even just let N8 sort out the MTM logos for me, when I have the wheels painted. xx

knew i should of got yellow :p LOL

Lol, you fancy a swap?? If I start driving now, I might get to you around April! xx

Better pack your bags buddy!

Bring that black S badge for me.. :) (no joke lol)

Paullie,

I wouldn't highlight the MTM in yellow personally, but either grey or black lettering I think would look perfect with the wheels and your car looks so good anyway, it really will be the finishing touch when these wheels are fitted.....lovely !!

Warren,

I had the same view as yourself as you know as we have effectively the same cars....the OE rotors on the BE with a black car just didn't light my candle....everything just looked a bit dull, almost like the car always needed washing.

Changed the wheels for some Speedlines and what it effectively does is to bring out the black paint of the car and accentuate the chrome/brushed chrome highlight so much more.....it absolutely transforms the whole car.

Not saying you need to get Speedlines ( although they look fantastic ), but any good wheel in silver would make a huge difference.

I like the BE bits on any colour other then black, but on that colour you just don't notice them.

As for the money, selling your OE rotors will provide the money to cover the replacements....that's what I did ( you probably didn't want to hear that, right ? ) !!

Thanks Shadowman, yeah I've decided that the yellow MTM logo wouldn't look right, especially from the point of view of selling them on later. The logo's wll be done in black, which will make them stand out every bit as well (if not quite as bright as yellow!). Really love your car and the changes you've made to it. The silver of your Speedlines and new grille against the black looks very special indeed. xx

Hehe, thanks Dude, very much appreciated words. Looking forward to seeing the pics of your latest mods. BTW the B Pillar upgrade isn't difficult to do. I spent more time worrying about doing the job than was worth it, ..I got the drill out a couple of times and put it away again due to losing my bottle altogether, lol. Then one day I decided just to go for it and 20 minutes later, job done! xx
