Wow nice spec of works being carried out there, can't wait to see the pics and the result I will be following this build thread. Hope you enjoy the result.

Correct me if I am wrong but Revo haven't released DSG software upgrades for facelift cars.

PICS?? Y U NO POST ANY?

how much was your grill and is it a stright swap

I think the reason why no pics is cos if he dropped the car to amd yesterday, i don't think they'd have finished all that by today with enough time for him to pick it back up and take photos yet.. patience! unintentional reference to take that should be IGNORED.

£450 plus vat direct from audi it is a straight swap but has no vent in the top for the air to get to the induction kit so a few holes need drilling has a look a paulies build thread for pics

Lovely car, absolutely great job!

Lovely car, absolutely great job!

It's a custom SuperSprint job 3" system with decat an quad 90mm tips was rather expensive but worth every penny

Did you have to eliminate the rear battery tray. As this is what it says on the supersprint website. And modify heat shield. Any ideas?

As I'm thinking of going down this route.

Did you get the full turbo back or just the rear box?

And who sorted your diffuser out? Sorry, so many questions

I've got my spare diffuser ready for the cutout! Bring it on!

GB, lol!

Morning All,

Thought I would pop on and answer the few questions posted, as we have been carrying out the work on the car.

The exhaust is a Supersprint version as Ben said. On most of the later models i.e 2009 onwards they do not seem to have the battery tray but a blank where it should be. If we are fitting one to a car with the battery tray we can remove the battery tray as it is not needed and supply a blank, like is fitted to the later cars. This is about £20 + vat, plus 10 bolts and a gasket. Bens had the blank so all we had to do was trim the bumper, I say "all" but it is abit of a but clenching job!

The cutting work on the bumper/diffuser was down to Nick one of our techs, he has done an absolutely sterling job.

We did forward the pictures on to Milltek and they are interested in making one if we can get enough orders......... If 5-10 people are willing to put down deposits we should be able to make it happen, or we can supply the Supersprint version, it can just be fitted as a cat back.

As I said to Ben, I thought he was mad wanting a quad system but it looks brilliant! Really suits it. We were all suprised at how well it looks. Dare I say, maybe how they should have been out the factory?

HTH,

Ben @ AmD Essex

Ben thanks for clearing that up. Mines a 2001 (61) car, so I guess mine would also not have this battery tray?

What happens with the towing eye, as i seem to remember the tow hook cover is around there on the diffuser(?)

And does the heat shield have to be modded as per on S/Sprint website?

And lastly just to confirm as per above this can be fitted to the std exhaust by just replacing the back box. I understand S/Sprint supply a link pipe which mates to the std exhaust(?)

That looks ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!! Can't wait to see the full piccies. Well done to you and to the guys at AMD!!!  xx

Mr S3 BUH
Saw you on M25 just past dartford crossing about half 5 ish today.

There was a slight bit of trimming needed to the heat sheild but nothing major. Your car may not have the battery tray. It is easy to tell, either look under the car on the drivers side just back fromt he bumper or lift up the boot carpet and there will be a big hole if you have one.

As for the towing cover, that needs abit of trimming but still fits on and is all fine.

To fit on a standard car you would need the centre pipe and back box with either quads or ovals.
