I'm in the process of fitting some upgrades and having a remap on my car. My mate has just bought a civic type r and it seems much quicker than mine. Not happy!! Lol Bought the Audi for build quality I know but pace must be a factor and all these young lads have quicker cars. What's going on? :-/

you hit the nail on the head Chris build quality our cars are well made thus this make them a tad on the FAT side and the likes of civic are thin bits of tin held together with spit n string so power to wieght ratio comes into play and with your quattro aswell she a heavy old girl Civics are reasonably quick cars mind due to the rev range on them but once ur DTM is up and running im sure all the civic will see is your shinney red tow eye

Not 100% sure what power DTM's run, but CTRs are as quick as 8L S3's out the box, you need a remap in the S3 to just about pull away, and that's only at silly 3 figure speeds. In the wet would be another story of course.

Just take them round the twisty stuff, they don't handle as well as the Audi's.

Have you driven one? I think you'll a find a CTR will leave any factory spec Audi with 200bhp behind on the twisty stuff, in the dry at least!, in the right hands of course.

My shiny red tow eye has been painted black. Need to get it sorted.

It just annoys me that a lad who is 19 years old can brag that his car is faster grrr lol

Get some proper mods on there and there will be balance in the force!

A good balance of power, braking and handling mods brings any factory spec Audi to life. A fact of buying Audi's is they look great, have brilliant interiors but the owner has to add the 'magic'! Happy modding!

Not gonna be able to knock a second off 0-60 tho am I lol. whst sort of bhp will Audi need to be to compete with likes of CTR's? Etc

Loads of stuff can be faster but at the end of the day, you have an Audi and he's got a Honda, nothing more needs to be said. He'll aspire to get your car one day, not the other way round :yahoo:

In fact, I've just had a flash back, I had a bit of a run in with a jap spec type R a while ago and while he pulled away (not by much) on the straight, I spanked his **** in the corners, so yours should'nt be too bad.
And in answer to your question, you could easily knock a second off you 0-60 but it's in gear power you want.

It's acceleration do yeah gear power. I am currently waiting to have fitted : decat and exhaust. Induction kit. Auto tech HPFP and map

on acceleration mate dont thing ur gunna win as said the rev range on the CTR's are silly 8500 if memory serves put this up against 4WD which will bog down from the start so from 0-60 think hes gunna give a good going over but as said above round the twisty bits ull spank his ****
few people have underestimated my humble 2.0t best bing a chocolate boy in a convertable 6 serious thinking he the bees kness in his white 4.0l soft top couldnt pass him but was on his **** all the way in to the naughty three figure speeds and the look on his face said it all
i like it wen chocolate boys in daddys cars think its a humble a4 diesel lol how wrong they are lol

What exactly are chocolate boys???

With similar mods to what your about to get I was able to see off a Corsa VXR and thats lighter and more powerfull than a Civic Type R.

What are you running again? I want to get mine to about 300 bhp I reckon that'll be enough for me

Stage 2+ is plenty, but you'll always have the bug to get more, especially if you've had powerful cars before...I had a 400bhp supra and miss it, but the quattro makes it more accessible to use the power in more circumstances, especially wet or twistys. I find its enough to see off most cars.

I've never had more than about 240 (owned). Driven cars with 350+ when worked for dealers. Is there a website where I can see what parts make up the different stages?

What mods do you have?

none mate Standard SE 220bhp jus well driven lol :p

fake tan white framed sunglasses more products in the hair than in my detailing kit

hate to burst your bubble mate but a standard Corsa VXR is less power than a Civic Type R

At that time I was running 290bhp/275lbft using K03 turbo, HPFP, de-cat, Milltek cat back, Panel filter, the car had a progressive/smooth Stage 2+ map. I think you will really like the Stage 2+ power however i'm not sure if you'll get 300bhp without a decent intercooler and a 3" downpipe.
Now i'm Runing 364BHP/351lbft using K04 turbo, HPFP, de-cat, Milltek cat back, FMIC, Panel filter, S3 injectors, custom map. Now the car is a totally different animal there are a few bits n bats to do before I can really dial the map in to push some decent figures.

I need to get moving then really. I'm only using standard turbo, intercoller and injectors. I am hoping for around 280bhp with my mods at present as I think that's a nice step up from standard

Just in process of fitting them. Decat and stainless steel system. Bsr intake. High pressure fuel pump and remap so far.
