Then i sprayed this, as i couldnt find a black plastic one for the B6

IMAG0189.jpg

Fitted black circles to the tailgate and a Cupra R splitter

Hope you guys like it.

nice touch there fella and glad ive seen your front end in black was gunna get around to doing mine but not had chance yet... i must say ill be leaving the rings in chrome but i will be de chroming the outside grille sections when i get 5 mins ??? have you used any special paint i.e for plastics of normal of the shelf tin jobbies

Nice looking car

Good photoshop skills! Although from a personal viewpoint none of those wheels suit the car, LM's are the best I'd say.

In a way it does look cleaner minus the rear wiper, but I'm puzzled why you then go and lose that 'cleanliness' with a great big green sticker!

Hahaha cheers but tbh it dosnt look so bad in the flesh,
I was thinking the same about the wheels, I just can't make up my mind, lm's look ace but I don't want to follow the crowd.
Time will tell.
Thanks guys.

WOW... looked at your thread and saw my car almost identical lol.... i bought mine just the same way as yours was and did exactly the same except the rear Audi circles, not got round to that yet...

I got the rears and rear screen tinted too..

I purchased a set of RS6 v2 Alloys, fitted 235 35 19's to them and they look grand, if you want i can email/text some pics if you want to see how it sits on them..? No fear of being seen together as i'm in NI...

Quick question - re the dewipered rear, did you just remove the arm and mechanics or is there more too it..?

thanks for the comment guys:thumbsup:

just remove the wiper ar, take off the boot skin, undo the washer pipe and stick a screw in it incase it gets skooshed by accident, take out the motor, 3 nuts and wiggle it out, then remove the rubber thing that goes in the hole.
Now the blank it i used a grommet from B&Q, they are used on metal cavity boxes for electrical wiring.
Same as this but i cant remember which size

If you could stick a few pics of your wheels up in this thread for me to see that would be ace, Yeah i was thinking about tinting the windows too,
Infact stick some of the whole car up please, im always looking for inspiration.

Thanks

I de-wipered the rear of my old A6. Really cleaned up the back end, but I ended up wishing I hadn't cos it was always mingin black with all the crap thrown up.

I used a glass grommet to fill the hole. Came from a german company. >>>> Linky

Silver avants are the best :arco:

My rear motor is not working and is something I need to replace but is not high on my list at the mo however I will say one thing good about the messy rear window, it almost acts like an auto dimming rear view mirror when some dcik with a dodgy headlight or 4x4 are behind you haha

A little update

Black Edition RS4's 18x8" cause im getting an old ****** and i like my spine intact, i always feel 19's are a little too big and spoil the comfort.
Really pleased with them, have been looking at lots of wheel options since Oct, BBS RS GT's,LM's, CH's, Landy Wheels, Various Merc Rims 18" and 19", bid on a couple of sets of S4 Avus, blah blah.
This is the first set of Black Editions i have come across for sale so i had to have them,
Most prob think oh oh another set of RS4's but tbh these, old RS6's and the old RS4's are still 3 of my favourit wheels.

Anyway pics.

Still need tyres though.

Looking forward to them going on, April feels a long time to wait Ross. I reckon they'll be on before Feb is out!

I'm going down the 18 route too after running various VAG cars on 19's so I know your choice is a wise one, interested in these B5? Spring holder things peaole are talking abouit for a mild 15mm drop up front and for £35 for the pair it's worth the risk....

TYRES!!!!:aggressive:

Nice colour choice mate, I'm sure it was a wise choice going for 18's. (im still aiming to get my 19" LM's on mine come spring time) With some B5 perches it should sit nice.

I've had my B5 spring perches for over 6 months but still haven't got the spare cash to get them fitted, 18's are nice but i can't get away from running 19's and im nearly 38 with lots of kids to cart around..............I've left my 19's on and am going to do a refurb before ultimate Dubs in march...............I love the blacked out front grill im tempted to do mine like that, and maybe the rear rings hmmmmmmmmmm

Each to his own with the rear rings, doesn't tickle my fancy but hey ho. I'm intrigued by these perches and think as soon as I have the car physical and sourced the wheels they'll be soon after. Got 19's on my mind now but trying to resist.

Holmefield I am loving the Claws, so much so I trawled the web looking at obscure wheels to fit using adaptors then thought WTF I've got a wedding to pay for. SHEEEEEEEET:wtf:

There not CLAWS fella, there optional X5 sport upgrades, there made by Borbet for BMW and were Very Xpensive when spec'd on new X5s.
Im considering putting a matching set of 10's upfront this year just in the process of figureing out how to make them fit thou..............I'd love to fit my B5 spring perches but theres a lot involved in get them on and im ok with the spanners but not prepared to do the perches so am saving or hopeing for assistence with fitting them!!!!!!!!!!!

I love little changes and the black rings and black front grill suit the the A4 nicely, personally im looking @ doing some Carbon bits this year.................

It's all foreign to me with the BMW wheels, they do look good, cannot imagine the head scratching going on forcing 10's up front, it's there for the taking though I guess.

I'm going to enquire as to a price on the perch fit as I know if I take it all apart it won't go back together! I think a lot of the black / carbon colouring on badges depends on the car colour too. I think for me growing up in Rochdale where there were countless Lexus / Toyotas with Gold badges it's cut me deeeeeeep.:scared2:

Thanks guys :icon_thumright:
Wheels are 18 x8.5" final ET will be 32. Yes 10mm spacers each side.
I very nearly went for 19's but followed my head and not my heart, they would be too lumpy.
The black badges, some folk like em some folk dont, I went for a black plastic one for the rear, saved me painting it.

O its not badges that will be getting the carbon treatment, its certain parts of the body work!!

So I eventually finished off sealing the wheels,5 1/2 hours later, i'm well chuffed .
Also forgot that i wrapped the centre badges, so this was actually the first time i had seen them beside the wheel, the colour match is spot on, i didnt expect that tbh, i thought it would be a shade or two out.
Anyway heres the results.

Tyres will be ordered at the end of the month too.

Ross, does that mean wheels are on 1st week of March then???? Knew it! :icon_thumright:

Looking forward to the transformation, car already looks ace and the wheels will really finish it off nicely.

I spoke about doing this for a while now and finally got round to doing it,
Verry happy with the results on this:yes:
