Premium Oil Catch Can - GROUP BUY - SaikouMichi

I had a feeling something was wrong when it was there for 2 days. There supposed to be sending me a letter with the charges and reason on thought it would have been here today guess its a waiting game. Dave I sympathise with you as there delivery time is rather poo, I too have had a few problems with parcels taking forever to get to me.

Xmas come early! cheers Chris!...legend.

love the little drain tap! how smart is that!

as soon as i unwrapped it i had to play...great fun blocking one connector, blowing through the other whilst spinning the valve open/closed. i think i need to get out more.

but nice design that i can see being easy to use on the car

Thanks to all involved in making this happen.

Note to all of you.

The drain tap is closed when the tap is at it's lowest point. I made the mistake of driving round for months with mine open dripping on my drive shaft!

Do you know what the customs damage is yet?

All been well going todo mine thursday, also going to move it from its current location next to the battery to the back of the engine like i wanted to, i cut the relay box up and everythin todo it originaly but my current setup wouldnt fit.

Anyone had a crack at fitting their can yet?

I just ordered the 1 way boat valve, I got the pipe and Dave's stainless bends just need to get something to block that small pipe up with and some of the hose clips but not sure what the best one's to get are, oh and a little filter for the end of the pipe. :)

What boat valve are you talking about?

I asked prawn where it would go and he seemed as confused as i was and he's done loads of them .....lol

Now the silver bit in between the 2 90 degree silicone is the 1 way valve which ensures you have servo'd brakes. The hose then just runs up to the hard pipe along the firewall. Not the hose with ASH on it but the one to the right of it

I have a few bags of different sized jubilee clips. I've tried to phase out as many of the original clips as possible.

Found some on the Bay there called super-clips similar to jubilee, bit but a kind of T-bolt fastener like a bit of thread with a nut on.

Ok guys I just posted the last 4 they may make it to you tomorrow morning as I have got in before the morning post collection, if not Wednesday. Dave yours will be a bit longer as its registered Airmail because your a foreigner lol :p

Be very careful with those clips mate. I used them on my FMIC and you cant really feel when they get tight and I've squashed alooy pipes with them before. Dont over tighten them.

Anyone fitted a can with the badger 5 kit installed ( TIP , filter , heat shield ) and if so does this free up a bit of space with the standard air box out of the way ?? Ive bought a catch can but im waiting till i get the tip and filter before i get it all fitted. I was thinking at the front of the engine bay so its easier to route back to the tip.

Cheers.

I have mate. I have a home made heatshield but I have B5 TIP and Jetex. Loads more room without the OE airbox so you can empty it. I dont vent the can back to the TIP though. Here's a few pics:

Fair play , I've seen a few pics from the seat cupra forum with the can mounted on the side of the battery cover so Im thinking about doing it this way. I will get a better idea when all the tackle arrives !

Cheers.

Oh maybe il just stick with the standard jubilee ones to be on the safe side. Cheers dude.

I got a text earlier saying I have a catch can sized package waiting for me at home. Thanks for sorting all that out Chris, you are a true legend!

Any pics mate?

Did you vent back through the hockey puck to the TIP or to atmosphere?

I vented back to Tip but actually thinking about venting to air as the piping is tight at the moment due to having it going back to tip. Will go out and take some pics for you guys. Please dont slate the dirty engine bay

This was one of the reasons for me going to atmos. The hocky puck actually started to bend due to the strain on it from the tightness in the engine bay and the heat in the bay. The second reason was when I saw the amount of crap still going back into the TIP even with the catch can in place! Since venting to atmos, my TIP, boost hoses, and TB have stayed gleamingly clean.
