Ads...noooooooooo. I knew i should have kept them, i'd have looked after them far better!

And yeah, that's a better pic. She looks rather tasty there. Where is she hiding it this time though?

I'm buying another one so you can buy this one off of me.

I'm not sure, but I know where I'd like to hide mine!

Right the plan is. Wait for BB to finish then I start showing my face around local pubs and bars a bit more and try to live the dream off the back of Aaron's BB fame ;)

Your plan has a flaw though. Aaron is a major d*ck head so you will probably end up getting your head kicked in.
Other than that its a great idea.

The pub is alive. WooHoo Shes female, nice looking face, alive and has a soft moist section. I'm in!! Ads, why and how did you hit your alloys? I knew I should have nicked them at ADI.

It was this morning. I was driving around the path/driveway where I live and there was a car parked on a tight bend that I had to go around. As I swung around it I caught the kerb with my front left wheel. On my old alloys it would've been ok, just tyres, but because these are running a slight stretch it caught the actual rim.
Ruined my day.

That moment between hearing the scrape and walking around your car to see the damage.... I wouldn't wish those seconds on my worse enemy.

ahh sorry to hear that ads, it hurts when you hear that noise... even when its not your car!

on another note, how on earth do any of you do any work? i mean you guys are at the pub all day! i can hear you guys talking from over here and its so distracting!

I hate hitting curbs, it is one of the worse noises ever.

How bad is it?
Pictures?
refurbish time?

I guess the only thing that makes me feel a little better is that its the alloy that's in the least good condition. (what a sentence that was!)

As for the pub.... its a bit like a drug (allegedly). You take a few hits and then it's hard to stay away from it.

Thats age old question in the pub mate.

Must of us work in IT, so we are on computers all the time.

To be honest, I looked at the damage through my fingers so will have to have a proper look tonight when i'm feeling strong enough.
I'm not going to both with a refurb cos all I've gotta do is catch it again and its money down the drain.
If I see a single alloy come up on ebay in better condition then i'll buy that and sell on my kerbed one, hopefully at a similar price to mine.

It's all about multi-tasking. Or just not doing loads of work.

Refurb it, and get some rim protectors or just stay away from the kerbs!

i too work in IT and am at the computer but this thread moves so fast the only way to keep on it is to stay on here and not do any work at all!
i hope my manager isnt keeping tabs on my internet usage :p

Mate you are a legend. Was it in the ghetto? how does it look?

Full on Ghetto mate, seriously, it is like Gloucester's ghetto. In the 10 mins I was waiting for the geezer, I must have seen 10 Police cars, and they did a drug raid a bit further (about 500 yards) down the road.

Quite entertaining if I'm honest.

Head looks OK, got a good deal there to be fair. Needs a pressure test as you already suggested just to make sure all is well. I's also go for a very light skim as well. Valves all looked good, if a little dirty (but that's to be expected). Cams are all fine. Water jackets have got lots of calcium in them (Suggesting it's been run on just water, not G12 for a while), so I would have it chemically cleaned as well if you can.

Comes with inlet and exhaust mani, and various useless pipes.

Win.

Cheers welly you are the man. I'm getting it chemically bathed, skimmed, and pressure tested all for about £80

Exhaust guides and have the valves all cleaned and re-lapped, then fitted with new stem seals. Won't cost much more.

Lean from my mistakes, do it right the first time.
