ASN's Pub

I'll sort out some sort of thread in the week then, BUT i think that you should bung one up for Audrey as well :beerchug:

What to do? (round 2)

So after looking for a B6 Quattro for a few months no with no luck, I've just been offered an 08 plate B7 Avant 2.0 TDI Auto S-Line in Metallic Black and fully loaded with full leather and RNSE for a rather good price from a friend. Not keen on the 2.0 tdi unit after doing my research, but he told me he had the cambelt and oil pump changed 6k miles ago(now on 79k), so worth a punt?

Thoughts?...

Is that the 140 or 170 PD lump?

Balls.
Haha :D owned there reesy
****** off.
Reesy is a typical A3 owner on this forum.

Sticking to the A3 section and very rarely venturing any further.
You have no link to it in your sig. Apart from it having the least exciting, most unimaginative thread title in history, i wouldn't look at any old derv build thread, it's only that Audrey is a well known figure in the pub that i am interested in yours. I have also posted in the b7 section and the general car chat section, so I am well travelled on ASN.

I assumed the b6 was so that you didn't spend all your spare ££ on an oil burner for the mrs? If you are going to be spending a fair bit, get a 3.0tdi b7, and use the change that you are saving from the b8 to offset the additional running costs..

How ****ing difficult is it to get a first credit card?! ****ing ****ers.

Have some tits to cheer myself up -

If you get the boot fitted properly, you could go with 'Audreys automatic Ar5e.' Otherwise, 'Dirty Derv DIY' perhaps?

sounds a good car jo! But why has the oil pump been replaced mate? did you mean water pump? As this normally gets done with the timing belt?

Morning all,

If its been replaced and no other issues has a rissen.
A replaced part should not be a consern?

Lol, I think I need to be more clear on this, I told him about the oil pump issues, and when he took it to Midland VW, Jody recommended he changed the oil pump as a precautionary measure. My mate selling the A4 is also the same guy who let me drive his Lambo Gallardo! This is the mileage muncher he uses to do 1k miles a week, he needs something smaller that can do 60mpg! lol

My concern is with the engine reliability, as I'm not sure how the balancer shafts is related to the oil pump on this engine. clearly they are both in the sump, and the oil pump has been modified for later A4's with the same engine, but he's changed it now, so good for another 80k miles? Or is the balancer shaft a seperate problem waiting to sting the next owner?

Not a clue mate. lol
All I know is that my mate sold his Skoda Octavia 140 PD remaped with over 160k with no issues and no engine work at all.

Jo, this is the answer to all your questions.

So today's topic of conversation: Can too much security at a venue actually put punters off?

:lmfao:

Its all gone a bit down hill, sorry lads.
My license has had a bit of a battering due to the reactions of some patrons to the drinks.
But hopefully it might come back if people start drinking reasonably again and respect the resounding establishments.

Be nice to have this back to how it was. I do miss it.
