A ming blue (I think?) facelift S3 in Sydney on the freeway near Chatswood, Sydney?

Sarah's in Perth or nearby i think, bit of a long drive from Sydney but you never know!!

I saw a Silver S3 with Brembo's and a huge front mount on Saturday at Brighton le Sands and a Yellow S3 with A8's on King Georges Road near Bankstown/Roselands on the same afternoon. Anyone from here?!

I saw a silver S3 driving off outside my house yesterday lunchtime, I nearly spat my tea out as it drove off as I thought it was mine at first glance, then realised it was a "T" reg....freaked me out though!

It was definitely a facelift S3 in Ming Blue. Had an aftermarket exhaust and sounded nice as it pulled away.

I think big front mount is next for me Denis. How's yours going?

Awesome man. Are you going to need to remove the foglights or would the piping work around it? Mines not going too bad, it's been off the road for a couple of weeks, it's getting a new clutch, single mass fly wheel, Powerflex Red dogbone mounts and a new thermostat put in lol. Hopefully get it back soon. My next mod will be a 3" Stainless steel Magnaflow exhaust system.

Going to go AH Fabs so should be able to retain the fogs and look OEM+, which is the aim.

That's cool you're getting a single mass done. Pricey? I done the thermostat and dog bone recently. Thermostat is a bit of a pain but ok with a 1/4 ratchet.

I'm going to get the bush refresh done I think, and a new driveshaft. Oh, and a full fluid change. Probably get Seb to do it all.

Westy: Yeah totally, it's muggy as here at the moment (hit over 30 today) and car feels less perky and it's not even peak heat yet. Summer is pretty hardcore here.

It's a great feeling when you have a FMIC on, rag the car a bit then pop the bonnet and feel the icy cold inlet manifold ;)

Have you also thought about buying a phenolic gasket to space the inlet mani away from the cylinder head? Cheap mod, helps keep the inlet mani temps down and only takes 10 mins to fit.

Yeah I got one from 034 a while back. Made a very nice difference to the heat of the inlet that's for sure.

The problem with the AH Fabs intercooler is the price of getting it here....200 quid. It's light but couriers over that distance base it on size of the box rather than weight :(

That's a shame. Did you say modding laws are strict there so ideally you need to have a hidden cooler?

Yeah, and to be honest I wouldn't want the "hey look at my intercooler" kind of look anyway. The car's hardly subtle as it is with the B5 TIP and Jetex haha.

You got a link for these fella ? Im whipping the inlet off in a week or so to get at all the engine breathers , May as well fit one of these in the process if there better than the standard gasket.

Cheers.

PM mr Badger5 as I got mine from him. The gasket is a thicker gasket and by moving the mani away from the head it reduces the heatsoak.

Sounds Good. Cheers.

This is what one looks like, if you didn't know:
