my bad for the thread earlier im a youngen im 19 what do you expect, i just dont take S**T of anyone not that your advice was S**T but some of you started running your keyboards like you were big men im sorry not on the net please face to face anywhere but bro dont chat behind a screen,

ill take your advise of slowing down and my brakes the sensor wire is faulty so ive changed it and its fine now the brakes are all good dont worry about me im going to be speedy goslowez :) like always ;)

I hope for your sake that you mean it dude. On a serious note, its all good and well saying that nothing went wrong. Things get very wrong very quickly at those speeds. The thing is, probably 80% of the things on the road are completely out of your control. So many people are oblivious that they even have a rear view mirror. All it takes is for someone to pull out on you, or a tyre blow and its lights out. Not worth the risk mate.

cheers matey not even started mods yet only had the car for 3 months already done a load of stuff need s3 bumper for the front or s line one not bothered which one

i wish i could put a hybrid turbo on it but i dont like the black smoke i would be throwing out theres a fair bit of it now after the decat and stage 1

Fancy a change sometime next year but I doubt I would get that past the missus. Keep looking at mk5 eddies and thinking Id like one but a cold shower sorts that one out lol.

Interior wise then no but imo the mk5 Gti still looks quite fresh. The Mk6 interior is a notch up but it just doesn't have the same appeal.

In the long term I might have to go back to a diesel and 5 doors. Due to a temporary move at work I've trebled my mileage and if this becomes permanent next year then I'll have to re-assess.

Gonna be fitting new dampers soon so that will keep me from looking around at other cars......Well, for at least 6 months anyway:laugh:

Get it mapped properly then.... A tiny hybrid turbo doesn`t make the car smoke. Bad mapping makes it smoke.

Is this the case? As i got my a3 remapped the other week, took it up towards top end and started kicking out loads of blue smoke at 110 upwards. rang the bloke who mapped it and he said that its an indication that the turbo is about to go, that seals aren't as good this leaking oil causing the blue smoke. I am not very technically minded, is this the case or am I just being blagged?

Obviously if the oil seals are going,you will find some smoke,but also you'll notice oil loss,and typically it smokes after a good bit of hard use.
The more likely cause is over fuelling under heavy load as Mikey has implied.
