I got the Forge fmic on recently which pushed my airflow from 208 g/s to 216 g/s. I've just come back from lovely Barbados, thought i'd log the car again and it's come up with 208 g/s! Can somebody tell me what's gone wrong? I haven't had a boost leak test yet but that will come soon. I don't understand how it can drop back down within a time of 3 weeks? I've also got the B5 TIP and Jetex filter on there and it looks like i'm not doing as well as other peoples figures.

The car came with a map and NO mods. Ever since i've modded it i've never had another map or had this tweaked. Could this play a part in my problem??

What map is on there? It could probably do with sorting out mate. it could be a **** one

It came with a really ****e stage 1 map but no mods.

To be honest dude, I think you're chasing a problem that doesn't exist, and getting obsessed with figures.

Does the car FEEL slower? if not, i wouldn't get too hung up.

my G/S readings vary from 170 - 180g/s regularly, sometimes it's only making 168 g/s, yet it's peaked at 190g/s before. it seems highly dependant on weather and atmospheric conditions.

Despite the varying g/s readings, it never FEELS that different to drive, sure, some days it won't feel as punchy, but then it'll surprise me and log 180g/s despite feeling lazy, other days it might feel mega quick, so I'll log it and only get 168g/s.

meh. I think you're chasing a problem which doesn't actually exist. the ****ty superchips map certainly isn't helping things I wouldn't think

Yeah Prawn i get what you're saying. Sometimes the car feels great and sometimes it doesn't feel as great. Just wish it would stay in 1 place and stop farting around! My idle reading on my boost gauge is -13.4psi and from what i've gathered on here recently i definitely have a leak somewhere.

Can't wait for my 3" DP to go on and then a stage 2 map!

Cheers mate.

There was a topic on that recently and it turns out it should be reading -20psi on idle. That's something i need to have looked at soon me thinks!

Mine was fully rebuilt by CR last year so it's perfect. I got my Liquid Gauge last year aswell and my idle has always sat like that for some reason.

at idle my guage is over -20 inhg, -25 usually i think.

g/sec will vary with air temperature. On a warm day you'll flow more g/sec as the ecu aims to compensate for the less dense air. On a cold day you'll log less.

I didn't know that. I thought i'd flow more g/s on a cold day! That's probably why then, my 2nd log was when temps dropped big time and it was freezing at midnight!
