The "Rimz" Thread ** Look here before requesting pics of specific wheels**

I've got BBS CK's from golf edition 30 in matte black but there are no centre caps.
I measured the holes and it's like 67-69mm from outside and something like 57-59mm inside where cap mounts.
There is loads of sizes on ebay but which one should I get?

can't be that hard to get black bolts can it *** !!!!

Your car is lovely as it is, but your CKs are only 8J, what BBK you after?

Sorry for late reply. Currently in Croatia now. Lol.

I have Porsche 996tt calipers up front. Not many wheels clear it. Even the ck I run 4mm to clear the calipers.

Just after a new spare set of wheels due to boredom. Though the BBS LM but makes the s3 look old. Or privat legende maybe. Hmm.

N8 i would love your wheels team dynamics for my car in black:wub:
Are they good quality and light? I would have them for the summer!

Hi all,

Left a question via PM for N8, but I am sure he gets swamped with questions and I am going away soon, so wondered if anyone else on here knew the answer....
Speedline 19 x 8.5 ET48 with 225/35 tyres.....are they going to rub on a 2011 S3 Sportback with OE suspension ?

Thanks....I am not doubting you, but I have literally just read through all of the Rimz Topics, and in one of them N8 reckons you have to use 215/35 on ET48's or you will get issues.....unless that is only when the suspension has been lowered rather than O.E ?

My head hurts !!!

215 will totally cover you if you ever wanted to lower.. So Nathan it correct. But if your keeping standard suspension go with 225. Even if you lower in the future it prob still won't rub as I have the same wheel spec as you and I've lowered it. All I did was take the screws at the top of each arch out.

Happy days

If the question was "what tyres on an 8.5j", I'd say 215/35. On a 9 it's more stretch than I like tho.

Buy a set they are one of the most common aftermarket wheels on the road today, yes very light weight and decent quality also

As others have said, you'll be fine.

Thanks all......I have bought them !!

Couple more questions:

1. Do you re-use the current wheel bolts when fitting the Speedlines ?

2. Anyone want a three week old set of four Black Edition Rotor alloys 18 inch with 225/40 Continental sportContact 3's from my S3 SB.....Obviously as-new condition because they pretty much are !!

I will put them in the Classifieds as well before trying The Bay of Eee's !

Thanks again, and I will get some pics on here when they are on.

Any time mate. I love talking about wheels as N8 will tell you 😊

Ok, Speedlines fitted and looking great ( I'll try to get some pics up later ), but I have noticed a bit of a stumbling block !

The valves are fitted into a recess in the wheel so that they are pretty flush, which looks great but neither my Car Foot Pump nor my MTB pump will fit over the valve due to the size of the recess in the wheel itself.

All you guys with Speedlines fitted.....what do you do....is there an adaptor I can get ?

Thanks

Anyone seen a sportback on concaved rotiform nue's ? or got pictures ?

I think you struggle to get them to fit properly up front.

Nowt wrong for me with Rotiforms for me, just that there seems to be a recipe involving them, nu-school Audis and air ;)

Excuse my shoddy iPhone post above :)

I like the look as well. I think you'll need arches as big as the A4 to do it though ;)
