Borg Warner EFR Turbo

Has anyone fitted one of these turbos to a 1.8T? Seen a couple of vids on Youtube with one fitted to a TT but wondered if anyone had any first hand experience? These turbos are quite new and there are a number of sizes available but there isn't a massive amount of info out there yet. I'm particularly interested in how quick it will spool in comparison to a GT30 or GT28. Any thoughts people?

Some tuner like them and some don't.

I was going to get one but was told to hold back until more people have tried them out on the 1.8t

There are a few people in the US that have fitted them but no power figures or reliability issues just yet?

reliability..... is why they have been difficult to come by.... Held back whilst they sort out some issues. Maybe sorted now, I dont know

A machinist I work with used to work at borg warner , think he machined the K04 housing. I will ask him about quality....
