If anyone could help with this it would be great...

Need to buy a new rear bumper, have found one for sale but the seller knows nothing about the item unfortunately.

The only thing he can give is a part number:

8P4807303GRU

Do any of you guys how I can find out more info using this code? My local Audi dealers arent the most helpful people in the world and I basically just want to find out if its a 3 or 5 door bumper etc.

PS, will any A3 rear bumper fit a 2005? Eg would a 2009 3 door rear bumper fit a 2005?

Found this:

8P4807303GRU (8P4 807 303 GRU) Bumper Cover Rear For cars with standard bumpers.. Notes: Oversized Item - Dimensional Weight is used to calculate Shipping & Handling manufactured by GENUINE VW/AUDI for $355.01 at KO Performance

Looks like a regular non S-Line bumper.

EDIT: Looks like it's for the sportback.
EDIT 2: After further research, it looks like it's an S-Line bumper, like this:

Sorry to revive this thread but, does anyone have part number for 2007 Sportback (5Door) S-Line complete rear bumper with parking sensor holes?

Can anyone confirm that this item is a 3 door 09 facelift bumper - and not the 2005 that he states?

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

I don't see the split above the diffuser.

And should this bumper fit on any generation 8P? Anyone had any problems putting an 09 facelift rear bumper on an 04/05 car for example?

After the dilemma I had with the front bumper it would be good to know there won't be any issues.

Cheers,
Chris

That's 100% an 09 onwards facelift 3dr rear bumper. And it'll fit any 3dr 8P.
You will need a standard or s-line diffuser for it, and the diffuser can be from any facelift 8P, including sportback and cabrio.

Ads to the rescue again. Purchased for £50 - not bad for P&P as well :)

I've done a price request for Dave at Stoke Audi for the S Line diffuser - this would be ideal but I don't want to end up paying a fortune as I haven't seen any twin exhaust versions come up on eBay at all.

Maybe i can recoup some of the price selling this :)

And than there's the S Line spoiler drama as I'm not too keen on the Votex one!

Wish me luck :)

Cheers

£50 delivered is a bargain mate.
For the s-line complete diffuser you'll be looking at about £170-£180 from stoke Audi.
Works out to about £80 for the diffuser and another £100 for the honeycomb trims that fit inside the diffuser's recess.
Not cheap.

I just went for the standard diffuser as I think I prefer the look. But even that is about £80 if bought new. There's more chance of finding a used one though.

£50 is good - thought I'd snap it up as for that price you don't see many.

The S Line diffuser is pretty pricey then - I think I'll just wait it out for now and see what comes up.

So I received this today - and checked the part number and it's 8P7 807 385 - as far as I know 8P7 is the part number for cabriolets?

I haven't fully got it out the wrapping to check but in the photo on the eBay ad above it shows a 3 door bumper as it does not have the screw holes next to where the boot comes down?

Anyone shed any light on the part number?

Cheers

Yep, cabrio part numbers do start 8P7.
The part number for a cabrio rear bumper should be 8P7 807 303 though. Are you sure you've read that part number correctly? I can't find anything for 8P7 807 385 at all.

Yeah - I must have read it wrong as I couldn't find that part number anywhere either.

Am keeping it in storage until I buy the diffuser etc - but guess I need to fully unwrap it and go from there.

Fingers crossed I find an 8P3 807 511 on it somewhere, lol.

Im looking for some info and came across this thread, just wanting to know whether all rear bumpers for 3 & 5 doors have the same fittings? I have a 53 plate SE and have found an 06 rear on ebay that might be worth buying. Any help is much appreciated. Thanksss.

As long as the bumper is off of a car with the same amount as yours then it will fit. 2003 all the way through to 2011.

Dilemma over I think..

What confused me was this number:

rearbumper2.jpg

It is on the top rear of the bumper where the tailgate closes. Looks like a different part to the rest of the bumper?

But then on more investigation I found what I was looking for:

Now to the hunt for the diffuser and spoiler!
