The credit card is getting a good spanking right now with some new parts for the car

How many of you fear they have spent too much

My recent purchases for modifications are

1 Sachs 4 paddle clutch from Bill@Badger5

1 Forge supersize

FMDVSUPR.jpg

1 fluidampr crank pulley

Details here Fluidampr Crank Pulley for Late 1.8T Engines

1 set interrated engineering coilpack adapter set for FSI/TSI coilpacks inc coilpacks

Details here Integrated Engineering Coilpack Adapter Set for 1.8T with FSI/TSI Coilpacks

the coil packs alone from VW are £34 each so the above is not a bad deal even with the delivery, tax and duties on top

Repairs list is valve guides in the head so inc that there is gaskets and nuts/bolts that have to replaced due to this

Depends on your personal situation and dispoable income and whether you living with mommy and no mortgage..

Well this month the car owes me the following:

- Interim Sevice @ AmD
- Haldex Oil & Filter Change and tool
- 4L of Motul Gear Oil
- 1 Parrot Asteroid Headunit
- 3x Audio Adapters for the above
- Wheel Alignment
- 4 New Dunlop Wintersport 4D winter tyres
- 4 secondhand 16" Audi TT wheels

Thats about it for October, a fairly expensive month in some ways, but in context of other cars i've had recently, I still think it's nice cheap car to run.

nothing this month really except some wax. last month i had car tax brakes, caliper paint, fitting, boost pipes and fitting.

I keep spending every now and then but my excuse its an interest/hobby

The supersize DV is a monster when compared to a stock sized valve. Good buy there! I bought most of my gear last year so the car hasnt seen much money action this year. Im building an extension at the minute though so the ££'s are finding there way out of my pocket still...lol

Cambelt & Water pump change

Re-Map

New Thermosat and Temp sensor

Brake light switch

Glove box damper

Not mods but needed doing.

That's it for this month and the next few till I pay the credit card off!

Road tax due again. £63.25 for what exactly? Look at the state of the roads!

Clutch & flywheel
Sparkplugs
Full service
Ball joints
Tax - all this month... as well as being driven into the day after it all!.

Sigh!

Not as bad as your's Tom but still a stinger this month.

Cambelt & Water pump
Oil & Filter Service
Haldex Service
5 bulbs
+ still to do, change all lights up front to Osram Nightbreakers +

well I bought the car this month.. does that count?? LOL!

In the last two weeks:

- Full service including water pump, thermostat and cam belt change
- Upgraded the stock Concert stereo to a Kenwood KDC-BT61U
- Bought AndyMac speaker adaptors front and rear
- Bought Pioneer TS-A131Ci speakers for the front and Pioneer TS-A1713i for the rear
- Bought VCDS K-II from Ross Tech
- Key fob replacement buttons (x2) from eBay
- Aerial grommet for the roof

And it's going into Audi on Friday for coil pack replacements (but that doesn't really count as it's FOC).. the plan now is to get the new speakers fitted and give it a proper detail (before winter sets in).. planning on keeping this car fairly stock :)

its all fun and games spending loads of money on your car to never see the return, its better than saving it up or spending it on crack :D

Yes i feel the same, spend my money so my car is right and don't have any left for myself, but i live for my car and enjoy it that much!,we don't do it to make money!

Jojos mtms
Ap coilovers

This month hasn't been too bad compared to the last few...

New tyre due to punchure :(
Full service including Haldex oil and coupling filter
Getting the siezed spark plug out cost me £20!!

This month is hurting me, my bank and my ears. The misses keeps moaning at me.
I've spent and possibly carry on spending a stupid amount on a 13 year old car that cost me £300 new. lol

Spent this month so far on:=-
Full suspension (shocks, springs)
Front control arms.
Rear Blind,
Tax,
Mot x2,
Front Control Arms,
Complete bush set,
Heated seat pads,
Wheel bags,
CV boots,
Wheel bearings,
New wheels x2,
New set of tyres,
custom rear boot trim,
Respry,
Fog light control module,
and some other little bits that I can't remember right now.

This is a shocking list. never written it all down before. I'm not doing it again. lol
I've only driven it for one week this month as well. :(

O well, its all good fun and it beats the drugs and drink. :)

This month I have spent £300 on RSTT's and £40 on a four wheel alignment!

£205 on RS6 wheels
£120 alloys to be refurbed
£198 two new tyres
£39 on some poor boys wax and polish
£15 for new centre caps.

and ive only been payed 10 days....my months just started

Thats me then :rockwoot: haha but i do pay my way around the house and i didnt get mummy n daddy to pay for my car or insurance so im good :)

Butt i do need a service, detailing gear and a DV but thats all happening in bits, i cant keep spending!!!

Had the car 6 months, drove it for 3 weeks then the engine blew and I have been spending ever since :( Got the car back yesterday and it is still not right I am very tempted to look at a loan and buy something newer then break the S3 as in that same 6 months I have spent more on replacing parts than I paid for the car.
