Hi guys,

Just been reading all the replies to the Revo remapping problems and now I have decided against the idea of using the Revo map. What I do need to do is inform everyone of this.

My mate that sold me my S3 from the main Edinburgh Audi branch let slip that the main Glasgow branch take bookings for remapping. Now even if your car is under warranty the garage will remap your car and if anything goes wrong then they will rectify said problems under warranty even though its been remapped.

I thought that this was a little weird so asked myself and BINGO......its GEN!!!!

Im now taking my S3 over to them to get the work done, with piece of mind that if anything goes wrong then Im covered.

Hope this is of help to anyone in the Central Scotland region thats thinking about getting their newish Audi remapped

Regards

That is interesting. I wonder if it's their map as there's an independent in clydebank that resell and install Celtic maps and do servicing etc that won't void your warranty.

Hi I presume you are referring to the MTM remaps from Glasgow Audi? How much are they? Let me know how it goes if you decide on using Glasgow Audi. Thanks

Be interesting to see if anyone has had it done. When BMW released an OEM power upgrade for the 320d including a remap it seemed to be a bit hit or miss. Mainly because the techs that work in dealerships have little to no experience of doing remaps.

They use the MTM map with a company called Qs Tuning down in West Sussex. I spoke to both Glasgow Audi, just to get them to confirm that they do use QST, and Qs Tuning. I'm actually having my car re-mapped with QST in a couple of weeks.

Glasgow Audi is like an agent for QST in Scotland with permission to use their maps.

Let me know how the car is performing coz then I will book mine in for the re-map and possibly afew other tweaks if OK

I think someone had this done at Glasgow Audi about 12-18 months ago, seem to recall reading about it.

If it's the same deal, then I think I remember that it was really expensive, about £1k, compared to the average from other companies of about £400.

Is the extra worth it for the peace of mind ???

Rumour has it the price has been reduced from £1k to £700 but not sure how true this is. Someone may need to contact them to confirm this or not. At £700 it is much more appealing.

Not slating MTM as I haven't experienced - but I have both Glasgow and Edinburgh Lomond Audi branches - absolutely terrible customer service, aftercare is non existent and they will rip you off at every opportunity - be careful using them!
