its handy for me... i like to have my coffee in my flask on the way to work (1 hour drive) or keep a small bottle of water in the car but i currently have to put it in the drivers side door pocket which rattles like a B*tch!

at least with the US console i can maybe put some felt liner at the bottom to stop the rattle

dont start with Mcds... have you ever tried to put a mcds coke cup into the cup holder and get it out properly. or even put the armrest down with out bending and breaking the straw? trust me bro its annoying!

I only got 1 cup holder and its above the stereo and HVAC, stupid ****** place for it.

If you're adding power sockets, don't forget the 240v and the 5.2v USB socket.

Does anyone know if you can replace the cigarette lighter with a 12v aux socket like the one in the mod above? I mean is there a non-smoking pack that replaces the lighter with a power socket?
I've searched on ebay but found nothing. I'm probably searching for the wrong thing though.

I question this, The person who ordered my car brand new im sorry to say this but you were quite tight LOL. Why order leathers, s line pack, auto lights and all that other stuff and scrimp on the armrest! Tight ******.

My situation wasn't as bad as my mates R32 he had leathers etc, He HAD the armrest but the person who ordered his car brand new was so tight he got a cloth lid....Pitiful

Back to this console situation Khufu you need a armrest and ash you need to stop drinking in the car bro.

I did, honestly, its just that the part list with prices had multiples for cigarette lighter, and cup holder n stuff,
i think this is a great solution for my very annoying drinks holder,
this was at my time of purchase the only downside to my car,not my only down side now,
reminds me of my old mkv golf

there are 2 cig lighters as the us console has 2 spaces, but they don't seem to be the same as the one in our current console, hence the need to buy 2 new ones.

im also guessing that the main console has the 'cut out' for the cup holder and then there is another piece that fits in it to make up the actual cup holder as we see it.

as all parts and prices are listed im sure it is something that can be bought slowly for anyone that doesn't want to feel the spend of almost £200 just on plastics.

I really the look of this... I would much prefer the 12v in the current cupholder location as well.

im lucky that the previous owner of my car installed bluetooth, so i could leave my phone in my coat pocket in the boot if i wanted to, and still take calls

i just need someone to call me now...

i too have bluetooth, but that holder charges my iphone and puts it in perfect visibility for my Tomtom app.
