New Style South Wales Meet

Ok as some of you will have read in the South Wales Meet thread a few of the regulars are looking to spice up the meets and increase numbers. Ive decided to start this new thread as a fresh start so to speak new ideas new thread.

With this in mind ive had an idea for the first of the new style meets, i have been speaking to Mark & Stacey AKA ByzanPhotography White - http://facebook.com/ByzanPhotography about organizing a meet with as many members as possible a few models and a nice location for some professional photos of our shinny motors. They have generously agreed to provide their services for this - BIG THANK YOU.

THE DATE IS THE 23rd OCTOBER 2011

So as this is the new type meet were not going to dictate the location etc we would like members to put forward possible locations and then we vote on the best/most appropriate, bear in mind we need space for group shots and enough room to shuffle the cars round for smaller group individual shots.

So its over to you please put forward your ideas and get some professional shots of your car.

Also if anyone knows of any models willing to pop along or if you GF/partners fancy some modeling put names forward as well.

cheers guys yeah Mark thas a great idea ive allready got one girl interested in doing the modeling and lizz is also considoring it.

as for the date how does sunday 23rd sound location to be determined so come guys n girls we need ideas for the location.

im sure Grant and Colin will also be in attendance as well as Helen and maybe Gareth and Rhys

Okay so due to other comitments (halloween photoshoot!) we have made the date for this meet the 23rd October 2011. We hope you can make it as it will be a great opertunity to show off your car one last time before the winter months come in!

I'm now spamming the site with this to try and drum up intrest (untill I get shut down hehe)

asked for suggestions for location but no replys so i suggested the first one tha come into my head no other options put forward

due to lack of response/interest decided to knock this on the head not fair on Mark and Stacey to give up their time to do this and handfull of people turn up as usual. think meets in Wales are proving to be waste of time and effort as its always the same few turning up.

Shame man, I'm up for it if it was close to A, Plymouth (the moors are lovely). Or B, closer to bristol, I could make a weekend of it then.
Cardiff is good but the pretty ****ty city is just to far for me and possible others in and around the bristol area.

same old story darr, i was looking forward to seeing this other model you got lined up(ive seen liz lol) hope she has clean hands lol

times are getting tougher now it seems so we need to start planning a meet that is not like a week or 2 weeks ahead. we should plan for longer so that we all can make plans to be at the meet. its still early darr but these meets will pick up over the next few weeks now that people know that they are happening on a regular basis

p.s We have tried Pub Meets and meals, Cruizing along the Bracon Becons, it will be the same crew no matter what.ASN have Members who are Car enthusiast who want to help ASN grow along with attending the major show's and event's, we save are money each year so we can go to these show's and muck in.. And then we have ASN Forum Member who are just that.

Sorry to be so blunt but i'm an honest person. I like ASN and have been there when asked Local & Major event's.. I also attend meets with other car Forums (vw) But i'm getting feed up with how a few of us support ASN 100% Here in South Wales. 2012 for me will be more VW than Audi as the support the local meets, and all round fun is what it's all about .. I was in Contact with Cardiff Audi for an Open Day (if the Numbers were Good). Christmas Dinner Discount at Table Table..Put my own money into ASN South Wales Region Stickers and T shirts.. Good luck.

Lol not been on the forum for a few days and the meets been cancelled! I was actually quite looking forward to it and having a good catch up with every one.
I wouldnt of been able to make it to Swansea anyway due to fuel and money being tight with no job at the minute.
If there is one a bit closer to Cardiff or in Cardiff let me know 100% in

Col the BKKM may be of interest to you. The meet in Bristol and about 70%-80% of the cars are VW
Most of the guys that are going are off Edition 38 always a good meet and good turn out with some serious vag and non vag cars turning up.

im in the same boat ash been outa work since march but like to show support and as long as u drive slow you should be fine

it would have been nice but its not fair on mark & stacey giving up thier time take shots of the usual four to five cars tha always turn like Col ive tryed to spice it up to increase interest so have he and were always let down on the numbers at the last min! the last meet was four cars myself Colin Grant and Helen yet there was 8 or 9 on the list and like Colin said to be quite blunt it pi**ed us off a bit but we thought we would try and make it more interesting i.e photoshoot open day at local dealer etc but still no interest unless were handing £100 to each person dont think well ever get more than the 5-6 we always get. annoying but its the way it seems to be lol
were not getting at anyone in anyway and were not excepting 100's to turn up but it would be nice to have a few new faces there every so often also appricate tha folks cant attend from time to time but if thas the case dont put ur name down init simple lmao

i would have loved to attend but i have to work dont have a choice as now im having £40 taken out of my wages because of unpayed council tax so if i dont work on the weekends i cant afford to do anything at all even drive my car to work all week my money is so tight now they are taking that dosh out me wages it sucks , im thinking of selling up and buying a cheap run about

well well well some things have come to the light is see.

i dont think im going to bother with meets anymore as its the same old mukkas doin it. me and col have been there since day 1 nearly 3 years ago outside a service station in the rain so done my gair bit of shows and meets so now its time to call it a day from me i think as noone is interested in meets etc and why should i and others who try to arrange meets waste our time and money turning up to different venues to meet friends that i could just turn up to a house and have the same conversation with the same people. its been good and i have made lots of friends through meets but im hanging up my gloves as they say lol

plus my S4 will be up for sale soon as im moving away to new zealand for a couple years.

It is disappointing at the moment where there are only a few dedicated supporters for the Wales' meets.

Hopefully 2012 will bring better results, when admin get organised things will change for the better.

Hang on in there peeps. Don't give up just yet!
