Audi Driver International 2011 Saturday October 8th Castle Combe circuit

This grey haired bespectacled old git looking to attend for first time being new to this Audiness lark. Leaving Worthing area at ungodly hour via M27/ A34 / M4 to partake of leisurely brekky nosebag at Leigh Delamere Services by 7.30am. Fancy arriving at venue early-ish to avoid having to Q for too long. Plan B is to route cross country via Andover / Devizes then somewhere in Chippenham for brekky.
Check out private plated Pearl Black Cab. red callipers, er probably bumbling along if nice morning meaning hood can be down ( unless p....g down ).
Guess not being a club member or anything I will get thrown into the public car park.

Hi gyus,

Really gutted to say but my missus announced to me this morning that she will need the car for tomorrow as friend of her stitched her up and there is no one to take her to work now so it means I wont be able to make it unfortunately. Sorry for that chaps.:sob:

Ok so due to the weather I have come to a carwash. Sittin waiting an it's ******* down lol! Looks like no wax for the car! :( paints gonna look terrible :s

I was proper nervous driving back from the carwash earlier. Almost went into the back of someone cos I was too busy looking up at the grey clouds praying it wouldn't rain.

My car is staying in the garage until tomorrow morning. Any driving I've gotta do now is being done in my girlfriend's Ka!
 
like a boss! i left work a bit early about 10 mins lol Got the equipment out washed the car all done! Managed to give it a quick hit with some CG Blacklight and Hybrid V7 as i was working with this all in the dark....I guarantee i missed a few panels LOL patchwork!
 
What time are you guys expecting to get to the circuit?

Just found a 24 hour car wash! Changed rear Tyres, got tax sorted out and serviced the car myself! Just need some sleep and I'm all set for tomorrow! :)

buddy i live in Atworth, near melksham, picking someone up in castle combe village at 10.30 by the castle inn hotel, are we parking in the public car park? or on an ASN pitch?

yeah I know Atworth, drive through it every day on my way to work.

No idea about the ASN pitch, hoping that info would have been confirmed so I assume public parking.

Louis is my name, Hanz was a college nick name as the surname is hancock ;)
 
You can both just park on the stand as you come in say audi sport net and they will direct you to it. See you all tomorrow I have yet to clean my car :laugh:

Best check with Jojo first as space is at a premium, and we don't want to be leaving people off that registered interest ages ago. Hope you guys understand

Louis, sorry I missed you... was running late and got to the castle at about 10:45, could not see your car so assume you left.
Event was OK, but disapointed though to be honest thought it would have been busier/more trade stands etc.
 
it wasnt a bad turnout in sense of members, but there wasnt enough stands to spend money on.

it was nice putting faces to names and had a few good laughs...

Ash B and Fran sorry i didnt get around to scanning your cars... you know how farhan started moaning about leaving. but will catch up again soon!

yes the a3 sportbacks are like mini a4 avants... probably why I like it so much. I love the a4 and a6 avants especially the rs4 and rs6! just don't need such a big car

we had some very tasty motors on our stand esp when alex turned up and parked with us (the suzuka grey S3 next to mine) didnt expect that
