Also waiting on some MY11 rears from NHN. Then it will be h&r springs and that will be it for a while. Did try and get the front splitter and rear valance bit wrapped gloss black but the wrapping place near me couldn't do it!!! so think i will just be leaving em grey.

Sorry for the huge images, not had time to resize em.

Thanks for looking

Thanks for the comments, totally agree about the rear lights. the 07 ones look **** compared to the 09 and 11's.

Got the mirrors off ebay mate, Its a taiwan seller but i had used them before when i bought mirrors for my golf and there stuff is good quality and a perfect fit. Its just a carbon skin on gloss black abs plasic but i still think they look great. Heres the ones i got eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Looks wicked mate.

What filter have you used on your camera/photoshop gives a lovely effect?

Carbon mirrors look great quality, Bud. I have some on my S3 too and love them to bits, though mine are slightly different as they are dumbos. Didn't realise until today that you are in Aberdeenshire too, would be good to see the car in the flesh at a meet some time. Looks ace in those piccies! x

Paulie! get your friend to start doing the carbon mirror covers! we have been waiting too long now... there is a gap in the market and there is money to be made here!

Lol, I know Ash. I've asked him I don't know how many times and even the thought of the extra cash doesn't sway him. He took 3 attempts to get mine perfect and he says they are an absolute pig of a job to do. His wife has had their second baby just a month ago, so he's got even less time on his hands these days. :( Won't stop me hassling him some more though, lol  x

Thanks for the replies. To answer some of your Q's, not too sure about anymore carbon bits, as i had loads on my last car, would love some carbon b-pillars but cant seem to find them anywhere!!
Theres no lense on my camera, just a app on my iphone with some cool effects lol
Paullie, would defo be good to see your car in the flesh. I think its the best looking S3 on here, yours and Rico's!!

they do look like a good quality item to be fair so i am really tempted to get some myself

They are actually really good quality, i was a bit apprehensive myself when buying them for the mk5, i only bought after seing a set somone else had bought. the only point that may bother you is, the carbon skim stops before the rolled part of the mirror (so when looking in the mirror the surrounding part is just gloss black plastic.) but tbh it dosn't look bad atall and it dosn't bother me (being quite the perfectionist myself). Alot cheaper than osir mirrors, and look sooo much better than vinyl wrapped

i saw some carbon covers on ebay a while ago and they did the same thing (stopped before the lip) and i nearly bought them so these will more than likely be a better deal they are a little more expensive but as you say they are full caps not just stick on covers so im going to buy a set of them , not going to fit them till the end of winter tho im collecting bits for next years car show season :)

Good man, there defo look better than the stick on covers so i'm sure you wont be dissapointed. get some pics up once there on!

They look great - any chance you could post a pic or two of what they look like from the front - i.e. around the lip as you stated??

Thanks!

I've been searching for carbon parts for my car for ages now and just discovered OSIR and had just emailed them about getting a set of their mirrors shipped over along with a few other carbon fibre parts :ninja: but now seeing these not sure what to go for, at just over half the price of the OSIR mirrors its rather tempting! :yum:

Damn me! I like them!! Not sure they would be noticeable on a lava grey car though?

Thanks for the comments, i will get some ore pics of them in the morning for those of you thats interested. I did want the OSIR ones too, but the price was just a bit too high for me, and these are a great alternative.
Rob-Quattro they will look great on lava grey... just do it

the OSIR ones are mega money i wouldnt want to pay that sort of cash for mirrors you could prob find someone in the uk who could make you some for less than them lol , yes more pics please , hope mine wont be too long i want to get them on lol

I've been searching for god knows how long for somebody to make me a set, but the only ones i have found won't make a single set, they all require a minimum amount of orders in order to make it worth their while. the only exception i found was one that said he'd hand craft them but he never got back to me on price! Anyone know of any places to get carbon fibre pieces made up? if not i may seriously consider getting myself a set of these

Sweet, been searching for ages and never came across this guy. will send him an email for a few prices, cheers bud

we should just pitch him a deal. Like get a group of us who want them and see how much he can do it for! i would genuinely LOVE carbon mirrors as well as a few other parts to match it all..

I'll definitely be interested in a group by of carbon mirrors, he quoted me a £100 for the pair so maybe we could get him down a bit in a group by
Quick question guys and apologies for hijacking the thread but.....
Does anyone know if the front valance on an 2007 S-line is detachable? i want it in carbon fibre and Paul said he could do it for me for £100 if it is detachable
Also feel like my head is going to explode with information and i'm majorly confused but can i fit the rear diffuser from an S3 on my S-line rear bumper, just a simple take one off put the other one on job?
Cheers Lads

'the work we do is a carbon overlay onto your original part, this is done using real carbon fibre.'

That is what he said in the email to me, so i'm guessing we'd have to send him the parts and he'll effectively cover them in carbon fibre
Take a look on the website, there's an s3 on there he's done and it looks darn good!

Here's a few pics for those interested, not the greatest pics but i'm sure you'll get the idea

Tried to show where the carbon stops, not really that clear, but its kind of on the edge of the rolled part (sorry not great at explaining things)
