is there an in tank replacement kit for the audi s3 (walbro255) etc as i have only found them for seat lcr's or do they fit?and whats the highest flowing (biggest) pump you can fit in tank?(highest horse power rating) cheers

Considered an inline supplementry pump to the S3's in tank?
My ibiza racecar runs in tank S3 pump, which feeds a swirl pot, which in turn feeds 2 x 044 bosch pumps....
Off load the S3 pump can deliver 3.3ltr/min (measured)

If your in tank pump is ok, the inline may be a better option.. Some issue on high flow walbro's dropped in tank, can suffer pickup issues when on low fuel..

What power you aiming for from your fuel system?

Where did you put the filter tuffty?

We use an ibiza cupra filter (smaller) mounted in engine bay, spliced into the rubber hose feed to the fuel line.
8mm ends which fit the hose nice with good hose clamps.
Supporting the filter against the power steering resevoir (cable tie or bracket)

well i was considering maybe even an uprated in tank pump plus an inline aswell but if theres some issues with the in tanks then maybe the best option is like you say to feed an inline pump from the standard in tank one?as far as i know my fuel pump is ok but i haven't done any tests to see how well its working.
where can you get the ends for the da 31 as pistured so the the fuel filter pipes clip on securely?can you buy a kit?
when i eventually get together everything i need i am aiming for 5-600hp

Cheers Bill, then its just a case of getting the power down to the pump,(presume cut into original fuel pump supply) is the load ok for 2 pumps running ?

Not had any issue in tapping off the in tank pumps supply to feed the inline pumps.
decent gauge wire feed to them and fuses seem happy.

Hello Tuffty where did you get the OE fuel connectors?? Makes it look nice!!

Bill,

Just to let you know, I ended up putting a under cut on the threads on the adapters to get them to sit flat with one washer as there is no counter bore on the fuel pump.

Cheers

Dave

Got the fuel pump ones from Bill already, i meant the ones on the fuel filter.

Cheers

Ah... with yah....

Bill had some of his old Ibiza fuel line kicking around so I robbed them off those... I have looked everywhere tbh to find them separately but think if I needed them again I would either go to a breakers and get the from a car or stump up and buy appropriate hoses from VAG...

thats not th emod which was needed. the washers would sit flat to the pumps face... their overall length needed shortening thats all

hi bill I bought some of your inline fuel pump adapters through eBay 1 side is leaking do I need too change the copper washer remove?
or is it just a matter of nipping the inlet side up,only ask as I have small leak after priming think it just needs tightening but its dark now so will check tmorrow

Is there a reason for not just putting the additional pump in the engine bay where you relocate the filter to?

It's always nice to have a filter after the pump, just incase it start to or fails.
